St. Louis animator works on “Kung Fu Panda,” featured online
Steve Bryan of St. Louis, who writes the “Regular Guy Reviews” blog (”the man that Hollywood fears the least”), highlights another St. Louis guy today who is enjoying some success with the weekend launch of “Kung Fu Panda.”
The brief blog item here notes that Ron Williams “started his career working on cereal commercials before heading over to DreamWorks.”
Bryan (left) links over here to his feature story/interview with Bryan. On “Associated Content.” Writes Bryan:
Williams, a graduate of Oakville High School, worked on “Kung Fu Panda,” the latest film from DreamWorks Animation. “I worked on a lot of panda shots and pretty much every character. (I worked on) a lot of the hero characters and Tai Lung, he’s the bad guy,” Williams said via telephone from California.
His story notes that Williams also worked on “Sinbad,” “Shark Tale,” “Flushed Away” and Jerry Seinfeld’s “Bee Movie.”
“Kung Fu Panda” led the weekend box office listings with $60 million. Here’s our review of the movie.
