She will be managing day-to-day operations of the firm, where founder Patricia Whitaker remains chief executive.
Arcturis is a female-owned business, with more than 80 employees.
O'Bryan joined Arcturis in 1993 as a manager focused on large corporate projects. As a firm principal, she has been in charge of employee relations in recent years.
She has worked in the architectural field for 24 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in interior architecture from Kansas State University.
