The number of business bankruptcy filings in St. Louis rose 3.8 percent in the second quarter, according to data compiled by accounting firm Hoffman Clark.
The 110 cases represent a new peak, topping the 109 bankruptcies filed in the fourth quarter of 2009. For the latest 12 months, business bankruptcies are up 13 percent to 412.
