Anheuser-Busch has hired Blaise D'Sylva to lead its media, sports and entertainment marketing division in the U.S.
D'Sylva most recently was senior director and sales manager at ESPN in Chicago. He also previously worked as Director of Media Integration for Allstate Insurance Co. and as a senior executive with Starcom MediaVest Group.
In his new role as Vice President, Media, Sports and Entertainment Marketing for A-B, which begins January 16, D'Sylva will oversee the brewer's sponsorship deals with professional sports leagues and events including the Super Bowl.
"Blaise brings a combination of strategic, analytical and entrepreneurial qualities needed to expand the capabilities of Anheuser-Busch in today's media landscape," Paul Chibe, A-B's vice president of U.S. marketing, said in a statement.
D'Sylva replaces Mark Wright, who left A-B last summer.
St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch is a subsidiary of Belgium-based Anheuser-Busch InBev.
