MillerCoors has added another craft beer to its portfolio.

The Chicago-based company, which is a joint venture between SABMiller and Molson Coors Brewing Co., has purchased Crispin Cider through its Tenth and Blake Beer Co. subsidiary, which is dedicated to growing its craft and import business.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Tenth and Blake, which houses the Blue Moon, Leinenkugel and Grolsch, has not had a player in the fast-growing cider market.

"Our vision is to accelerate our portfolio expansion within the world's most exciting beer market," Tenth and Blake CEO Tom Cardella said in a statement. "With cider's explosion in the U.S., we were looking at the best way to participate in that growth."

The Minneapolis-based cider brand sold its first cases a little less than four years ago, and is the third-largest U.S. cider brand according to MillerCoors.

"We're thrilled to be part of the Tenth and Blake family," Joe Heron, Crispin's CEO, said in a statement, adding that the company will "continue to create our ciders in our Colfax cidery, and we'll maintain our own unique go-to-market execution."
