Love your job? Tell us all about it.
Even as unemployment in the St. Louis region hovers above 8 percent, thousands of workers here throw themselves into rewarding work every day. So we want to talk to those workers - and recognize their employers - in an upcoming Top Workplaces special section.
For the project, the Post-Dispatch has teamed with Workplace Dynamics, a survey company that has similar partnerships with dozens of other newspapers nationwide.
What we need from you: nominations of the region's best employers with at least 50 employees. We're looking to recognize organizations of all stripes, for-profit and nonprofit, from technology startups to retailers to hospitals to Fortune 500 companies. More importantly, we want to know what ingredients make up the elusive recipe for employee satisfaction and business success.
Working from your nominations, Workplace Dynamics will recruit employers to participate in a comprehensive satisfaction survey of their employees. Those employers that score highest locally - and meet national benchmarks - will make our list.
Post-Dispatch business reporters will then take that data and produce a section that will include profiles of the best local employers and other stories exploring how great companies inspire their workforces to excellence.
As so many of us continue to struggle in this economy for that coveted position or promotion, we can think of no more important topic on which to engage our readers. Please join us in spotlighting the best of St. Louis employers by nominating companies at stltoday.com/topworkplaces. The deadline for nominations is April 6.
Please email stlouis@topworkplaces.com or call 314-340-8128 with any questions.
Editor's note: This story has been updated to reflect a new deadline for nominations.
