Gail: Hi everybody. This has been a crazy week -- there was a presidential election; did you hear? -- and I'm even more behind on my regular TV-watching than usual. Luckily, some shows were preempted, so that gave all of us who over-watch (hey, I know you're out there) some breathing room. But let's get started chatting, because this hour will go fast.

maryliz: Hi Gail!

Some time ago you mentioned that the Shrewsbury, MO edition of "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" was going to air this Sunday. Do you know if that's still the plan? I don't often watch it but will this time, since I know the neighborhood.

It was nice to have a week off of "Heroes." I wonder how long it will take for the new writers' material to show up.

Your discussion on the election coverage and the ensuing comments were interesting. After bouncing around the networks for a couple hours, I myself ended up watching Jim Lehrer on PBS; I enjoyed the history they imbued into the coverage. (I guess I'm getting old, the slower pace didn't bug me! Plus, watching really smart people makes me temporarily feel smarter for some reason.) I tried to stick with the regular networks, but they were all saying the same thing, and even though I consider myself a liberal, I had to turn off Katie Couric. She had such a difficult time being objective. (Sorry, I know you like her.)

Do you have any opinion on "Raising the Bar"? I think it's very watchable, but I've always been a fan of Steven Bochco. (Believe it or not, I even liked "Cop Rock.") Hope you have a good weekend.
Gail: Yes, the local "EMHE" show airs at 7 p.m. Sunday on ABC (Channel 30). I'll have a note about it in Sunday's paper.
I appreciate multiple questions and comments, but next time, post them separately, OK? It's easier to sort out that way.
"Heroes" changed two executive producers, the right-hand men to creator Tim Kring. Their replacements are still in flux, but one rumor has Kring bringing back Bryan Fuller, who wrote several episodes last season. That wouldn't be good news for "Pushing Daisies," Fuller's current show.

Mentok: There have been a lot of apparent deaths on Prison Break lately. Bellick in the sewer, Wyatt dropped into the ocean, Self saying that Roland was being reformatted. After what happened with Sara, can we ever really be sure?
Gail: Nobody on "Prison Break" ever really dies -- until the show is canceled, and then, kablooey. I'm a little worried about Michael's aneurysm, though.

Carolyn Munch: Why did I see KSDK Channel 5's meteorologist John Fuller on a weather brief on KPLR Channel 11 this morning?
Gail: Because John Fuller is KPLR's chief meteorologist. Do you visit Tube Talk? (www.stltoday.com/tubetalk) We had a lot of discussion and a poll about it a month or so ago.

Anna: I keep waiting. And waiting. When is Top Chef starting? They have been running ads for it for months.
Gail: "Top Chef" returns to Bravo next Wednesday, Nov. 12. And yes, they've been promoting the heck out of it for what seems like months.
