tobefirst: Apologies if this has been asked before, and kudos on the job done thus far.
I noticed that the western half of the project still isn't *finished* in that there are frequent-ish lane closures to install, paint, and finish the sound walls and other such work. Without knowing the details of the eastern half, I expect this half to be the same- sound walls and other finishing work to extend well into 2010.
While I understand that maintaining the new stretch will be an ongoing effort, what would you consider to be the actual targeted completion date of the project as a whole?
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: The contract completion date has always been July 31, 2010. That will give us plenty of time to complete landscaping, soundwalls and striping and any other items that are difficult to complete in cold weather. The December 31 completion dates are for getting the mainline open.

Joshua: How is the construction of the Hanley overpass progressing? Are you expecting to be able to open at the beginning of August, in line with the projected eight-month closure?
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: It's progressing well. We hope we can even beat that deadline and open it sooner, but we aren't ready to make any predictions just yet.
Dan
Kurits Jr: Hello Linda & Dan,
Will the Oakland overpass (@ Clayton Ave) re-open in 2009?
Thanks.
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: Yes, that bridge should reopen sometime in late July.
Dan
jzeid: I don't know if anyone has told you anything like this, but I was talking to Doug King, the president of the St. Louis Science Center, and he referred to the bridge as the "unofficial visitor center for the project." I agree with him because there are exhibits about the project and you can go on the bridge and watch. I feel the SLSC bridge is the one of the best places to watch the project.
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: You are right. The Science Center Bridge is a great place to watch the project. Paving work is happening under it now. We are working with the SLSC on updating the engineering exhibit. We are collecting items off the project to go into the display. It should be really nice.

DividebyZero: Is the paving on Brentwood finished? What I drove on last week was great! Last time I went through there, I think I remembered some long turn lanes for Eager barricaded off. Will those open later in the project? Thanks!
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: The paving on Brentwood was finished late last week. I'm not sure what lane you are referring to that was closed. I do believe all the lanes on Brentwood are open now except for lanes that will go to the eastbound ramp to I-64 once that reopens.
