raadjam: Will there be an enterance ramp to go east on I-64 from Brentwood Boulevard?

How is the exit from westbound I-64 to Laclede Station Road in Richmond Heights going to be rebuilt, or is it going to be eliminated?
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: The ramps for Brentwood and Hanley will actually be connected. So, if you are on Brentwood and want to go eastbound I-64, you will go east on a new collector road to Hanley and then go straight across Hanley to an on ramp to the highway. If you are on westbound I-64 and want to go to Brentwood, you will exit at Hanley and go straight across Hanley to a new collector road on the north side west to Brentwood. The design plans for the entire project including this area are available at www.thenewi64.org, click on project overview.

The westbound I-64 exit to Laclede Station as well as the entrance from Laclede Station to eastbound I-64 will not be rebuilt.

Bill: Will there be cameras showing progress when you start the east end of the project? Also, will the cameras now in place on the west part still be there, or will they be reomved?
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: We will be moving the Spoede and Clayton/Warson cameras to the east end of the project. We want to show pictures of the construction work, so we will not need them on the west end and we will definitely have activity to show on the east end. Exact locations are being worked out right now for the east locations.

Tony Marcus: MoDOT is getting ready for the next phase of the project by putting new signs on westbound Forest Park Parkway. But they must be low on "To" signs in the shop, since only the one in Clayton says "To I-170." As it is now, out-of towners and other Hoosiers could believe they are on part of I-170 and go expressway speeds, only to come upon police radar (bad) or traffic stopped at a light (much worse). Wouldn't it be better to get this signage right?
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: Forest Park Parkway is a County Road. Any signs there except right at the ramps to I-170 would be County signs. I would be happy to pass this on to the County, but I'm not sure I understand the problem. Where on westbound Forest Park Parkway do you think there needs to be more signs directing motorists to I-170? There are speed limit signs on Forest Park Parkway that motorists should obey. Please further explain the problem and I will be happy to share with the County Highway department and see what they can do.

Michael Rubin: I live out in Wildwood. Exiting Long Road off 64/40 every evening rush hour and then going south to Wildhorse Creek and then West to 109. This whole area has been backed up every evening since construction has closed old Olive Road by Chesterfield Airport. It appears that all that traffic has now entered the pattern I am traveling. Question: What work is being done on Old Olive and how long ubtil this project is completed? Thank you. Michael Rubin
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: The Chesterfield-Monarch Levee District's project on Eatherton Road - at Old Olive, near Spirit of St. Louis Airport - was completed exactly on schedule last Friday (September 19). The road reopened that evening. I have heard the reopening has alleviated the traffic congestion on Wild Horse Creek, Long and 109. Hopefully things are better for you this week. The levee district's project included extending the Monarch Levee directly on top of Eatherton. Eatherton was rebuilt on top of the new berm.

lucy: Will the new 64 be widened? Looking at it from McKnight it's hard to tell whether extra lanes are being added.
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: Yes. We are adding one lane in each direction between I-170 and I-270. We will also have wider shoulders than before. There is enough pavement out there to do it.
