Tony: When can we expect to gain access to North Bound I-170 from Eager again. Thank you
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: That should happen in late October to early November. I don't have a firm date yet but it won't be too long.
Dan
Anne: Clayton road (at Kingshighway) as it goes through Forest Park has been made 2 directions. Will this remain the case after the highway 40 project is completed or will it be made westbound-only again?
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: We are talking with the City of St. Louis and Forest Park about what they would like to do after the project. It was temporary for the construction traffic flow, but it will be their decision on what they want to do long term.
Linda Wilson
DividebyZero: Will McKnight be the last real exit before the new I-64 (once it opens) transitions to I-170? Or will an exit to Brentwood be open?
Also, who is responsible for the recent work at Eager and the exit from I-170 in front of Target? There is a major dip in the road going east next to those new jersey barriers.
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: There will be an exit to Brentwood Boulevard when we finsih the first half. As for the work along Eager, we're doing some and the utility companies are doing some. I'll look into the dip problem you describe.
Dan
Bwood: Just curious as to why the Highway 40 overpasses over Brentwood and the I-170 exit to Eager are ahead of the flyover ramps to/from I-170, considering that the latter is needed by the first of the year, but the former won't be used until 2010.
Thanks for doing these chats.
Dan Galvin and Linda Wilson: It all has to be done by the end of this year, including the bridge over Brentwood. That's because the mainline is moving north to fit between the two flyover ramps drivers are using now. So it isn't a matter of what will be drivable when the first half opens, but how it will all fit together when we're done.
