Obes10: do you know why Rex Ryan was not chosen for the baltimore job when it was open last year?
Jeff Gordon: Harbaugh blew the Ravens management away with his interview. And the hire really paid off. The guy has lots of charisma.

karmon: Thanks for all your information yougive to us. I know you must get tired of answering the same questions so I am not going ask one that is so typical. I am convinced we will not do anything unitl early spring practice so I quit looking for anything. i do have a comment that will come across stupid but here goes anyway. Troy Glaus is always saying he can't get going until it gets warm so why not have David Freese start out at 3rd and Troy be a back up until it turns warm. We might find out that David is the one to keep and Troy to be the one for a trade bait. If anything would get Troy going maybe it would be someone prducing, if David did, and wake him up in the early part of the year. I am one that believes a pennant can be lost in the early part of the year. I remember a couple of yrs. all we needed to do after the break was play just about .500 and still win. Your can answer in a crazy way too so I won't feel so bad.
Jeff Gordon: The Cards aren't going to sit Glaus just because he tends to start slow. He is a good defensive player. And with some extra attention during the spring, perhaps he can get off to a better start. Freese will play every day at the Class AAA and prove (or disprove) that he is the heir apparent.

Griff21: The All-star game is here this year right? or next? obviously the ballpark village isn't happening. do the cards or the city have any special plans for the area or any other events than the usual all-star activities?
Jeff Gordon: There will be quite a baseball festival downtown. And the surrounding restaurants and bars will make this into quite a party.

Tim: I Rex Ryan is the new Rams head coach not just because hed be a great Coach especially with that bada** defense he runs but also because Lewis Suggs Scott and Landry are all free agents this year, and Id be willing to bet Ryan could lure at least one of those guys here Id take Suggs and Landry. Suggs is a Beast and Landry has upside. Then what id like to see happen. is to see them sign Vilma. I know hes not that beefy MLB everybody wants but hes proved that his size doesnt matter to him ever since hes been in the league. Then resign Atogwe and Bartell of course. Then, Last week I asked Jim Thomas what we could get for Holt and I was shocked when he said possibly a late first so why not do that and draft Terrnace Cody or Raji whoever falls to us and theres are beefy DT Paired with a Healthy Carriker and Long and Hall as the DE. What do you think?
Jeff Gordon: If the Rams could get a late first for Holt, the club should jump at that. Maybe other teams really do believe he has something left. As for the free agents, Ryan could attract an extra player or two based on his credibility, but it's not like the Rams have a ton of money to throw into the marketplace. I do like Ryan as a prospective coach, though.

Tim: If Sanchez makes it to our pick in the second round do you think the Rams will jump on that?
Jeff Gordon: A QB in the second round? Hmmm . . . that seems awfully high, unless the Rams maneuver to get a second first-round pick to fill one of the many other needs.
