Griff21: After Bishop and Holt, what other goalies do we have in the minors that might amount to anything?
Jeff Gordon: The next best is in junior hockey, Jake Allen.

Flotrain: Don't know if you've covered this or not, but why wait til now to dump Kennedy? Obvious, TLR didn't want him and he didn't want to be here. Really wasn't looking forward to Miles or anyone else still in house to play there..... They eyeing Hudson or a trade? And, I hope moving Skip to second and Stavinoha to catcher opens up time for my man Barton.... I really believe this guy could be special under the right circumstance...
Jeff Gordon: Barton could make it if enough things happen, but his lack of power and base stealing ability (and lack of throwing arm) work against him.

Luke: It is official this offseason is already improved and the buzz around the cards just on this chat has gotten more exciting. I am glad kennedy is gone but I dont like eating the salary part but they offset for me. Uggla, Schu, Hudson, Grudz, Durham. Of these who do you think is most likely to start at second for the cards.
Jeff Gordon: Knowing the Cards' budget, Durham and Grudzielanek seem like more likely options.

Kdaddy: do you think we could bring Stubby Clapp back to cover 2nd for us?

on a serious note, what are your thoughts on this move making a trade before the season starts, that much more likely? The list of teams that are wanting to "clean up" is growing....I keep going back to Toronto, all the lefties in that bullpen, Aaron Hill at 2nd, they have plenty we could use in a reasonable trade. I've asked this before but it's never been answered, have we burned a bridge with the Jays after the Rolen/Glaus deal?
Jeff Gordon: I don't know that the bridge is burned. If they need an outfielder, they know who to call.

tb23: Nick Stav as a catcher?? I see the move of Anderson to the OF, but this seems a little risky. He has'nt played there since HS. What are your thoughts?
Jeff Gordon: He has the body of a catcher. And it would help him stick as a utility guy. It would be a stretch to get him into a back-up role.
