Paula Alexander: Jeff, I would like to know the up date on Issac Bruce, is he going to be released? I have been a Ram's fan for 49 years back to the LA days on my dad's knee at the 50 yrd line. I was at the Super Bowl when we beat the Titans and at the Super Bowl when we lost to the Pats I have been a Rams fan for a very long time and I have seen a lot of Rams games and I mean alot I try not to miss a one and that day in New Orleans I just knew something was really wrong and now 6 years later I finally know the truth.
Jeff Gordon: With Al Saunders as offensive coordinator, I see the Rams making every effort to keep Ike in the mix. Al uses more 3- and 4-WR sets than Linehan, so there will be room for Ike AND a new impact receiver.

Andrew: Now that Matt Clement isn't going to be ready and neither is Mark Mulder, what are the Cardinals going to do until May? ? ?
Could we see another signing now that they now that Matt isn't going to be ready or do we see what happens in ST.....
Jeff Gordon: With Clement, Mulder AND Carpenter all coming back as the season progresses, the Cards are in a funny spot. A free agent with options would be reluctant to sign here now, since he would be looking at a stopgap role. A FA with no other choices could emerge, however. Weaver is waiting for somebody to get hurt somewhere, but he's on the outside looking in now.

Danny: Jeff,

Concerning Pujols's elbow, how much power or bat speed is generated from that arm during the swing? I am under the impression that power comes from the legs. 32 homers (last year, a career low) with a bum arm and hamstrings? We should all be so unfortunate...
Jeff Gordon: He has played in a lot of pain and continued to hit HRs. The danger, though, is that the elbow ligament will just pop someday -- forcing him into ligament replacement surgery and a nine-month rehab.

Joe: Jeff,
I've heard Demarco Farr, Dick Vermeil, and Dan Dierdorf say that video-taping the Rams' pre-Super Bowl practice would not have made much difference. I'm confused - How could there be no value in knowing what plays will come out of particular offensive arrangement? Seems like gold to me! If there was not value, why would a team risk so much to do this? And if taping isn't such a big deal, why did the clowns who run the NFL give the Patriots the hefty penalty for taping defensive signals of a regular season game, a game that is unarguably less important than the NFL's premier championship game? What a league!
Jeff Gordon: If you are doing a walk through after photo day, you just assume the thing could be taped. You just do. Martz was paranoid about this stuff, which is why the screens were put up at Rams Park. I can't believe he would expose much in this venue.

Mad Mike failed to adjust to the game. The Patriots got away with physically mauling the Rams receivers to take them out of their routes. They sat back in coverage and dared the Rams to throw underneath -- and then they tried to force fumbles. Mike's failure to adjust during the first half forced him into catch-up mode. His stubborn approach was a bigger problem than Spygate.

Jeremy (Denver): Gordo,
I have a question that is a little off-topic regarding the Rams. What happened to Aeneas Williams? Better yet, why did he have such a quiet retirement?
Jeff Gordon: Good question. He just sort of went away, without fanfare. We all kept waiting for him to try a comeback, but it never came.
