kingjames83: As the Cards swept the Astros this weekend, I thought to myself, "Are the Astros really that bad?" Is that really true? Berkmann had one decent hit, the bullpen looked like they were mediocre, and Roy Freaking Oswalt is 0-2 to start the season. They have the potential to be a good team this season, but do you think that Houston is the doormat for the NL Central for 2009?
Jeff Gordon: That is a great lineup. I expect them to score runs this year.

mythreesons13: gordo,

Can you check and see who will be the top goal scoring forwards in the upcoming free agent pack. I want to get a head start on the blues shopping list.
Jeff Gordon: Where would they put another scorer? Everybody wonders where Kariya will play now. Eller and Palushaj will be in camp. Perron is only getting better.

Jason: With the Blues now in the playoffs, how do you think the young kids will do? The simple fact of the matter is, the Blues would never be where they are with out Oshie, Berglund, Perron, and Polak. But relying on a group of rookies in the playoffs can be dangerous. Thoughts?
Jeff Gordon: Those kids came through again and again down the stretch, so there is no reason to doubt them now.

jsmith: I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but I was wondering how subsequent NHL playoff rounds are seeded. Is it bracket-style like NCAA, or does highest remaining seed play lowest remaining seed?
Jeff Gordon: The NHL reseeds.

CardsRedOctober2009: Gordo,
Why is Rasmus removed from the #2 spot after every day there? Every game in Spring Training (remember the 5 for 6 game?) and the regular season here he has been in the #2 spot he is either moved to the bottom of the lineup or sits down. Why is that?
Jeff Gordon: But Greene looks good in the No. 2 hole. A lot of players look good there, hitting ahead of Albert.
