Jerry from Memphis: Why isn't Freese playing every day? I'd love to see what he could do with 4 ab's per game.
Jeff Gordon: I agree, to a point. But if Thurston hits like and the team keeps winning, how can TLR fool with that.

JC: Gordo:

Just curious as what happen to the guy (can't remember his name) the Cards lost in the rule 5 draft. Has he been returned to the Cards, or did he make his new team?

JC
Minneapolis
Jeff Gordon: The Giants waived him and San Diego claimed him.

CardsRedOctober2009: Since Perez will lose his super two eligibility if he is kept in AAA for another month, do you think that will factor into the decision to call him up? How much weight will that be given if Thompson or some other reliever does poorly?
Jeff Gordon: Perez is a late-game hammer. If he pitches well, the team will need that. If Motte also pitches, then it will get tough -- since this team needs a middle man.

Mike: Gordo,

Do you see the young guys on the Blues tiring out throughout the playoffs since they have never played this long before? Maybe not Oshie since he's missed a good chunk of games.
Jeff Gordon: I don't think it will be an issue at this point. They are going 1,000 miles per hour. I'd worry more about old guys who are beat up a bit.

That's is for this week. See you next Monday.

Rich: Jeff, so is Thurston the real thing or a flash in the pan? Where does he fit long term? I like our team one week in.........
Jeff Gordon: I see him as a handy utility guy for some time.
