TheFanatic: Now I know why Spags (or was it Devaney) said he would like to draft a QB every year. Null out of West Texas AM? Seems a special team guy with potential would be a more useful choice there. What did they see from this kid?
Jeff Gordon: Size and arm.

Joebon: Any chance the Blues will go after a free agent goalie?
Jeff Gordon: A very good chance, yes.

funkem420: How could the Rams pass on Curry, Rey M. and J. Gilbert in the third? Our front seven would have been upgraded immensely. I know I'm not a coach but as a fan I have an opinion and right now I'm not too impressed. Thanks for the forum.

Jeff Gordon: Well, this team has to block. The tackle hole was massive. That had to be filled.

TheFanatic: Gordo,

Thanks for doing this.

Cards Pitching - I have not heard the prognosis on Lohse after the MRI. Been out of the loop a bit.

Also, what is the deal with Wellemeyer? Does he flip a coin before every start - "Heads I keep the ball down, Tails, I leave it up?" He seems to be two different pitchers from game to game....
Jeff Gordon: Kyle is fine. Close call there.

As for Todd, yikes -- that lack of command is alarming.

eternalramnation: Gordo,

No disrespect I truly enjoy these chats you do every week, and last time I'll bring it up, but I would think the Rams would have a inkling of what type of left tackle Barron would be before the draft. Guess we'll find out soon enough, training camp is just around the corner, but I can't wrap my mind around drafting a shut down left tackle and then not inserting him into his natural position. To me that would be like the post dispatch hiring the hottest sales person in the country to sell advertising and then put him customer service handling complaints of not getting the paper in the morning.
Jeff Gordon: Tackle is tackle. Jason played DE coming in, then switched to TE, then played both tackles. As he said, he plays football.
