big ben: gordo went to the same high school as kennedy .......... he was lazy then ,and hes still lazy glad hes gone..... do you forsee us in the playoffs this year ? and why do we keep losing to the hawks? there so lucky big ben yonkers police
Jeff Gordon: The Seahawks aren't all that lucky, as their injury list and that Super Bowl officiating showed us. But Mike Holmgren finds a way.
bob: did'nt jack clark sometimes bunt teamates over ,even at the cleanup spot during whitey ball, and shouldn't pujols had done the same thing yesterday,2nd and 3rd with 1 out is still better odds.
Jeff Gordon: If Albert is locked in as he was for about 99 percent of his first half-dozen seasons, no, bunting is not a good move. You can't have players of this caliber just give away outs.
Tom O'Sullivan: Do you think a baseball-crazy town like St. Louis could support an American League team? Surely, teams like the Royals or Devil Rays would fare better in St. Louis. Someone suggested this in a recent "Sound Off" column and it is crazy, but for some reason it makes sense. Maybe another stadium north of downtown? Thx.
Jeff Gordon: If the Cards became ordinary again, St. Louis may not support one team to the level we've seen in recent years. Highway 40/64 construction and high gas/ticket/concession prices take a toll this year.
curtis: do you have a feeling the rams will not make the playoffs? i'm highly upset. our dbs sucks. we have two LBs and one D-linemen. we are slow and not strong. this is how I see the rams. what do you think?
Jeff Gordon: I'm looking for a 9-7 finish. If that's good enough for the playoffs, then it's good enough. The secondary is better than you think, but, you're right, the linebackers stil have much to prove. There is more overall strength than a year ago, but perhaps less speed.
Ray: Hi, Jeff,
Why won't Coach linehan let his Defensive Coordinator speak with the press? Is he that afraid of his status there that he has to micromanage?
Jeff Gordon: Haslett spoke regularly last season, which was a compromise. Linehan is more careful than egomaniacal. We're trying to get him to loosen up.
