Mike Gainer: MLB Manager of the Year: LaRussa or (insert Rays manager name here).
Jeff Gordon: Nobody thought the Cards would be good. The Rays got more love in the offseason -- so TLR ought to get the most praise of anybody this year.

Jmac9101: Hey Gordo,
With the trade deaadline rapidly approaching in my opinion the Cardinals seem to be set in the field, I don't see them needing anyone new out there, but with Carpenter, Mulder, Clement seemingly none of them may make it to they rotation, is there any pitchers that could get to solidify our rotation, it seems had to believe that our rotation can hold up that long. Are there any starters out there that the Cardinals could grab at the trade deadline.
Jeff Gordon: Many starters will be up for grabs -- Bedard, Sabathia, Burnett, et al -- but I'd rather see the kids the Cards would have to trade to get one of them.

Ken Wilson: Gordo,

Thanks again for the forum.

Jess Todd has been lights out this year. He was awesome in a recent all-start game and his headed for the Futures Game. His size is often mentioned as a reason he won't start in the bigs. Do you believe that or do you think he has a chance to model another short starter, Tim Hudson. Realistically, can Cards brass ignore what he has accomplished starting this past year?
Jeff Gordon: Great arm, great stuff. Don't rule him out as a starter. Perhaps he pitches into the rotation and Boggs moves into the pen, where he has had success before. There will be nice competition for spots next year. And some of these kids could still help this year, as Boggs, McClellan and Perez have helped.

MizzouMarv: Gordo, did you see or have you heard how the Mizzou recruits looked at the Demetrius Johnson contest Sat. night? There was a little story in the PD, but not many particulars. K-Law's reasons for leaving? CMA too tough? System too tough? Homesick? Didn't like Columbia? Jersey buddies got to him?
Jeff Gordon: Didn't see the game, but I loved the kids' attitude. They really want to be at Mizzou -- unlike Keon, who always had second thoughts about Boone County. Adding seven new guys at once is quite a chore, so this team will be intriguing early.

Landon: Hey Gordo! Whats going on?

Ok. Just a quick question about Randy Flores and his work out of the bullpen... In your opinion, how well do you think he has done? It seems like everytime i turn on the game and hes pitching he seems to mess it up 80% of the time..

Is something going wrong with him? or should i jsut keep my TV set turned off?

Thanks a lot Gordo keep up the good work!
Jeff Gordon: His ankle injury landed him on the DL, but you have to wonder if there was more to his mechanical failure. Bottom line -- he couldn't hit spots with his fastball or command the curve.
