Arturo: trades ...Reliever? impact bat? Starter?
Dunc is the odd man out of the outfield. Reyes is the whipping boy ( sometimes he deserves it) & Thompson, like the great rodney dangerfield, gets absolutely no respect( tho he always seems to pitch well if they ever let him) .

Dunc has some value for his power. reyes who knows ? Thompson, I would have to think is better than most players available right now , especially with what we have to offer or are willing to give up.
who can we get ?( dont say Fuentes or Holiday, they almost definitely wont happen) who do we give up?
Jeff Gordon: All those guys could be had, for sure, in the right deal. Or even the wrong deal. They are going to get bumped by other players anyway.

Glenn: Hey Gordo, what's the latest on any free agents, or trades the Rams might be considering? Thanks..... I'm in Virginia and I never here about any rumors etc.. Please help...Thanks again
Jeff Gordon: We just had Howard Balzer on KFNS and he didn't see anything coming. Spikes just visited Detroit. Bentley hasn't played and he wants to start -- and there is no job here for him.

Pirwin: Gordo,
I was born & raised in STL but live in Baltimore. I don't get a lot of info on the farm clubs here. I hear nothing but praise about this Rasmus kid. If he is really that good why hasn't he been called up?
Jeff Gordon: Had he not suffered a groin muscle strain, he might be on the cusp. Instead, he will head to China with the U.S. Olympic team. But look at the Cards' outfield production -- Ludwick and Ankiel are hitting at all-star levels and Schumaker is a winning lead-off guy. It's a nice problem to have, no?

Adam: What about the cards adding mahay and bringing old mark grudz back to the cardinals. Didn't even try to spell that name.
Jeff Gordon: I love Grudzielanek, but this team is getting great second-base production.

CarolinaCardsFan: Gordo, I have not seen any talk of a trade for George Sherrill from the O's - wouldn't the Card have as much interest in Sherrill as they would Fuentes?
Jeff Gordon: Sure, he would be a good get as well -- but adding a legit closer would be costly. Baltimore would really want a lot. And why would Baltimore trade one of its few real low-cost assets?
