tim: Say the Cards let both Lohse and Looper walk. Do you think they would pick up Burnett AND someone like Oliver perez or Derik Lowe or is that to expensive?
Jeff Gordon: Too expensive. That is why keeping one of those guys would really help. Lowe would be a nice get, but he won't come cheap in today's market. Burnett could break the bank, with the Yankees looking to throw money around.

mr. optomist: hey gordo,do you think we could get a 1st round draft choice for any one player on the rams current team....besides dante hall or alex baron?
Jeff Gordon: No way. First-round picks are hard to acquire. Bailouts don't yield much in the NFL, which is why you don't see them.

tim: If you were Mo which closer would you focus your attention on this offseason K-rod or Fuentes? what dirction do you think the Cards will go?
Jeff Gordon: Fuentes. K-Rod will cost much more and there will be long-term durability concerns. Fuentes fills two needs, closer and lefty.

Rich: With the unfolding debacle that is the Rams 2008 season at one point is there going to start being real accountability?

When are under-performing veterans like Incognito, Hall, Chavous, and Hill going to start riding the pine?

tim: Your guess. Whos at second and shortstop next year?
Jeff Gordon: I'd vote for Renteria and Lopez, but only if the team spent the money to keep Ludwick and Ankiel long-term and shore up the pitching.
