ram4life: My dad always told me to never "hustle backwards". When you've got a good thing going, keep it going. Never sabotage yourself. With that in mind Gordo, give me your professional opinion of why did we hand the keys to the "GSOT" to this obviously inept signal caller? When the 49ers changed coaches they didnt miss a beat, neither did Dallas. We fell too far too fast. Fans, like myself, who've been fans of this team for 30 years or better cant fathom why we cant figure out how to put a consistent winner on the field. Every team has some lean years, but, i feel we deserve better, after a decade of losing, than 3 years of competitive football.
Jeff Gordon: Maintaining a winning franchise in the NFL is very difficult. The Rams failed the test for a ton of reasons, starting with Mike Martz's own deterioration. It has gone downhill from there.
cardsnumber7: Why is Dante Hall here?
another drop for a first down
Our Offensive line gives a new meaning to "Offensive"
Our line last year was better and they were horrible.
Jeff Gordon: This line is better. It has played two superior defensive teams. Last year's line against those two defenses would have gotten people killed.
As for Hall, good question.
cardsnumber7: Hey Gordo,
Can we please get Avery and Burton in? Why do you think Burton is not getting in there. Do they think he is not ready?
Please no more Dante Hall. Please.
Thanks
Todd W.
Jeff Gordon: Now that Avery is getting healthier, I'm with you. But Looker is earning his reps.
2deep: I have been a rams fan for 30 years and i don't under stand why the rams don't spend good money to go get good players. My question is why don't the rams get rid of there coach because to me his action look like he doesn't want to be there. Out of all the playes he runs i could get playes fom madden and win a game. Why don't he try the 1999 to 2000 play book look like it work to me.
Jeff Gordon: Get Kurt Warner back, then you can run the 2001 playbook.
Ken the seasons over and let's look forward to 2009: I am a PSL owner from the begginning. I have club seats. They are expensive but up ubtil the last two yesrs they were worth it. This is about entertainment and cost of the same. I would rather stay home and get NFL Direct TV package then waste my time and money watching what can only be desribed as wretched football. It reminds me of the dark ages of Missouri football.
I will not renew unless Zygmut is gone; Linehan is gone; Shaw is gone. The solution for now is easy. Fire Zygmut; Fire Linehan; Demote Shaw to the Rosenblooms family attorney exclusively. Turn the franchise over to Devaney on an interim basis. Turn the team over to an interim coach preferably from the outside but if not posssible give it to Haslett. The season is gone and we got 14 games to see if he has anything left in the tank, for some reason I think he does and now is the time to find out. AS for Dick Vermeil, that silly endorsement of Zygmut on the big screen at the game was all I had to hear to disqualify him unless he agrees that Zygmut must go now.
My question to you is not whether anything will be done but does ownership understand that they are destroying the fan base with this incompetance? If so why won't they do something? If they are as smart as they are protrayed by the media why have they not acted?
Move over Woody Widenhofer and Bob Stull and make room for Linehan in the Missouri hall of shame coaching section.
Jeff Gordon: Ah, Woody's Wagon. Bad times. But this is right up there. Where do where house this Hall of Shame?
