dougmla: Hey Gordo,
Here's a question for you, I keep hearing some say that no GM or HC is coming in for the Rams until Chip sells the team or the ownership issue is resolved. Where does that stand right now? From what I can tell Chip isn't out there beating the drums looking for a buyer, is he?
And wouldn't it be more prudent for him to keep the team at this point and improve the product? I mean the franchise has to be losing money with the degrading fan base and it's continous losing right?
Also I would think with his dedication to his mom he would want to revitalize this franchise for her, in her memory.
Jeff Gordon: Bids have poured in for the team, so he sell quickly if he likes. In this economy, it might not be a bad idea. The value will shrink some if the team keeps losing, but the big hit Chip would take would be in the short-term revenues while he waits. A lot of rich dudes want in on the NFL.
Lawarence Marmie: Any chance the Rams offense will liven up the game plan with more WR handoffs to Dante Hall or ill-fated fly patterns to Looker?
Jeff Gordon: Sarcasm! On that note, I retire from the day.
Thanks for all the questions and comments. See you after the next game.
