Michael Kent: Jeff ...

In your opinion, who's the one player who will probably be left off the Cards' postseason roster who, in your opinion, really should be there? By contrast, who will be on the roster but shouldn't?

Thanks.
Jeff Gordon: If there was a way to get David Freese in the mix by claiming eligible players were injured, I would have done that. He offers a better bat than, say, Troy Glaus.

Craig: Why do they have to make this so hard? I hate it when people stop supporting teams when they suck, but man. This is like asking to be kicked in the nuts repeatedly. Today looked like 53 playing as one...one kid with a helmet requirement and a ticket for the short bus.

In case you need any clarification, I am speaking of the Lambs.

Thanks for letting me vent, I'm sure my sentiments are shared by the rest of Rams Nation.
Jeff Gordon: That was a shocking display of ineptitude. You can see that the Rams have enough talent to compete, even with all the injuries. The nature of their mistakes -- made again and again and again -- make you wonder if the new ooaching staff can really change the culture at Rams Park.

Matt: Gordo, I am so proud of the Blues and so ashamed of the Rams. How can we persuade Dave Checketts to buy the Rams? That is a man who knows how to build a great organization.
Jeff Gordon: Too bad Checketts doesn't have the money to make that sort of play. He is an excellent sports executive.

Tackleberry: Gordo,
If you look at what we know so far about the Rams, truthfully all we can say is that their defense is very much improved. But beyond that, we don't know much else. Is Spagnuolo the answer at HC or is he another St. Louis Rams coach reminding fans of the Peter Principle? Did fans/media embrace Devany because he represented a new era, but forget that failure can come in many different forms (i.e. monster flops like Crouch or mis calculations like Avery). Is Shurmur really the answer at OC and if not does Spagnuolo have the stones to make the right move before this spirals even further into the 0-16 track? Remember, two OC's were fired before the season even started.
Jeff Gordon: Drastic change is needed for the offense. If Spags disagrees, then he becomes part of the problem. I could sit in the coach's box and coordinator a D againt the Rams, while eating nachos and drinking beer. And I am by no means a football genius. This offense attacks maybe 40 percent of the field.

Zak: Hey Jeff, thanks for taking time to respond to questions. Are you excited the Cards are facing the Dodgers instead of the Rockies? It seems as though the Cards and their #1 Carpenter have dominated the Dodgers this season but have had trouble with the Rockies losing badly against them in the season series. Does this play to their advantage?
Jeff Gordon: The Dodgers struggled down the stretch, so they seem to offer a more appealing match-up. Their front-line starting pitching is capable of throwing shut-down games and they have a hammer in the bullpen. Their lineup appears loaded. But . . . they seemed vulnerable down the stretch.

Then again, so did the Cards. That makes for a fascinating series. Which team wakes up first?
