Chris: Why was Brewer picked as captain over Tkachuk? It seems clear that this is his team. First to do interviews, first to talk to refs, you always see him talking to the players, picking up the pucks for the kids after thier goals, etc...
Jeff Gordon: Keith has been phenomenal this year. And he has been a captain before. And he really IS a leader on this team, without the C. Part of the deal with Brewer is pushing him toward better, more consistent performance. The guy does care, he just needs to clean up the play in the defensive zone.
Joe Stafford: Jeff, considering how the rams have played lately, could they have a shot at the playoff's yet? I'm hoping for 10-6 or 9-7 and the nfc west title. What do you think?
Jeff Gordon: 10-6? No, but this team will be competitive every game from here on out. 9-7 and 8-8 are possibilities, but there is lots to do.
rj: With all the talk fo the town about the officaiting of Sunday's game in NE, will the Rams make a call to the league office and register a complaint or is that something the league will do on its own accord? Would the Rams be thought of as whiners if they do?
Jeff Gordon: The Rams can bring it up and the league can disregard it.
Joe Stafford: Jeff, if Haslett is retained oops I mean hired as head coach ( I don't want to offend Dan Rooney, he might tattle on us again) which coaches would he probally retain on his staff? Thanks
Jeff Gordon: Good question. Some of these guys aren't Jim's guys and there could be significant change, depending on how this plays out. Venturi would be a big exception, obviously.
Joe Stafford: Jeff, I thought that a blow to the head to the QB was illegal? Or being that we were playing in NE that Richard Seymore is allowed to hit bulger on the helmet and shove him down with an official right there and get no flags.
Jeff Gordon: You can put a hand up on the head, just not whack it. There can be a fine line there . . . and getting that call at New England apparently is tough.
