Joe Stafford: Jeff, I am sick and tired of all this talk about booting Bulger and drafting a rookie QB. Wouldn't drafting O-line players help more? Besides for every Dan Marino, there is 20 Ryan Leafs.
Jeff Gordon: Agreed. I'd draft a rookie for the long haul, but if you want quicker help for next year, go for a young veteran like Cassel. Protection is vital for whomever plays down there.
Mike: Gordo
What are the chances the Blues can keep this up all season? I know they're young, but doesn't that mean that should actually improve as the season progresses?
Jeff Gordon: Maybe, but the kids can also wear out playing at this level. That could be a drag on the season. And the schedule gets tough late.
JJ: Is Oshie going to be an impact player all year? whats your prediction on total points? He seems to play more selfless than any other player out there on the ice almost like he's affraid other will see him as a puck hog whats your take? I guess is mifs me when berglund shoots from all over the ice with very little "ice eyes" when TJ knows where everyone is all the time...your thoughts?
Jeff Gordon: Oshie might get 40 to 50 points. Berglund may get 30 to 40. Oshie's wheels will get him opportunities. Berglund will get his off the draw as linemates finish. He does need to adjust to the speed of the game.
brutus0117: Hi Jeff -
1-Even though Bulger didn't play great in the 2nd half, I'm a little shocked at so many people want to pin the lose on him alone. I think to many people took what JC "what's-his-name"'s comments in the game a gospel.
Everyone seems to be disregarded: the total breakdown in protection (which some people GENEROUSLY called "not bad"), penalties (resulting in 3rd & longs), odd playcalling and a couple of missed routes and hot-reads... well that's a little simplistic and lazy.
2-Some of the non-calls Sunday were to the point absurd. I assume the Rams will send a protest to the NFL office. Will we ever hear the NFL's comments on the game?
Thanks (as always),
Brutus
Jeff Gordon: The NFL seldom owns up to poor officiating, so don't hold your breath on that. As for the collective failure of the offense, those are all valid points. But Marc does have to do better from his end.
Rod Shetler: Hey Jeff,
I've heard a lot of talk about potential starters, middle infielders, etc., that might be on the Cardinals' wish list this offseason. I have yet to hear anything about the most needed upgrade - closer. Who is out there, and what have you heard?

Jeff Gordon: The guy I want is Fuentes -- a lefty AND a closer.
