eddie c: How could you sit there and think that if Mark Bulger had more time and an "improved Offensive line", after a miraculous draft of several good/ great offensive linemen, that he is gonna be any less of a loser than he is now. He may be a nice guy, but he's only gonna perform when his job is on the line. That only happens when you have a legitimate starter on the bench. Hence you gotta draft a QB in the first or second round, to replace him. Why do you think he played well in 2003 (Warner was on the bench) and in 2006 (last year of contract). He isn't in his last year of a contract any more, so you need to draft a QB, high. AM gonna keep saying this until you understand the importance of drafting a QB in the first 2 rounds, reagrdless of what Bulger makes.
Jeff Gordon: I'd rather see the team add a viable veteran, ready to play right away, and then draft a developmental QB . Cover the short term and long term.

cardswin17: Hey Gordo,
A lot of mock draft boards have tight ends being drafted before Missouri's Chase Coffman, despite being named the top tight end in the college game. Why do you think the scouts believe he won't project at the next level?
Jeff Gordon: Coffman doesn't line up next to the tackle and block, so teams don't know if he can do that.

Lawarence Marmie: Gordo,

I have to say, as a Yankee fan, I'm a little worred about who the Yanks are spending all that moola on. Neither Sabathia or Burnett has ever played in a market where the fans really care and I'm thinking they've never heard booing from their own fans before. Not that the Yanks don't have it to spend, but I think time has shown over and over again that not everyone is meant to play in the Big Apple. You need to have thick skin and a short memory. I think the Yanks would have been better served to go after a guy like Lowe, who has pitched in Boston and been part of the Yanks/Sox rivalry. Now, I hear they want to get in on the Texeria/Manny talks and I'm really hoping they don't. Have they forgotten how they won in the 90s?
Jeff Gordon: Sabathia hasn't done it in the postseason and Burnett hasn't been consistent, period.

STLMU2006: What are your thoughts on MU basketball? Think they might be a sleeper come Big 12 play?
Jeff Gordon: With two mature big men playing very well, they have a chance to win more than they lose in conference. Ask Xavier and USC -- teams will have to play well to beat the Tigers.

Rick: I see alot of things wrong with our football team, but the one thing i see the most is the poor quarterback play. The Rams have to either trade for a second 1st round draft pick or a second 2nd rounder and pick a QB I like Bradford if he goes pro, but i wouldn't take him first over all so the chance of him being around are small. I don't like Staffrd enought to take him in the first round either, even with his make and arm strength. So do the Rams go OL, then QB or what?
Jeff Gordon: O-Line, then the best available player -- the Rams need everything.
