bjwstl: Hey Gordo,
Your thoughts on this... I disagree with everyone wanting to be rid of HOLT. He is a staple of the Rams. He has had a bad season because the rams have had a bad season. He also was double teamed most of the year because jackson was injured and we had no ruuning game. Yesterday holt looked like his old self. He is a great player and a leader with the rookie recievers. I know people didnt want to hear him complain but i would be frustrated too. I say if HE WANTS TO Stay, then let him. If he wants to leave, though the rams owe it to hem to let him go. Thanks
Jeff Gordon: He was mostly ineffective for most of the year and he has big jack coming next year. And he was unhappy. So all that adds up to him likely leaving.

Matt: Gordo,

There's a chance the Cards may end up being able to sign pitching help without dealing some of our outfield logjam. What do you think will happen if we don't clear up some of this logjam? We have to assume that Rasmus will be up at some point, that is to say if he doesn't make the team right out of spring training.
Jeff Gordon: If there is no trade, then either Rasmus or the rehabbing Duncan might start the year in Memphis.

Mike: Jeff,

I am sick and tired of clicking on this website several times a day just to NOT see the Cardinals have a major signing! When are they going to get in the game? According to my standards, they have several high paid players coming off the payroll. Why not sign Pettite or some other big name starter to a short term deal? If Carpenter is healthy, we will be fine only if we sign one of these guys? When and will this happen?
Jeff Gordon: There is still a good chance of that happening. Remembers, there more than 100 unsigned free agents out there. Andy may retire than play another year at a reduced rate. Some other vets may do the same.

Chocolate Thunder: GORDO,
2nd and 2 and that's the play call, that's absolutely brutal. 3 Downs to go 2 yards and reset on a first down. I'd fire the entire coaching staff.
Bozo the clown would be a good hire, at least he would fit in with the circus sideshow they call a team, greatest show on turf to greatest joke on earth.
What's the story on getting some All-Star tickets? Can you hook a brotha up? Kinda just want to see Home Run Derby, or as I call it Home Run Drug Recovery.
Thanks for your hard work in '08, like your take on stuff and sports also.
Jeff Gordon: I'd love to help you, but something tells me I won't have the pull to get all-star tickets . . .

Good shot at the Home Run derby . . .

I think Haslett agrees about that second-and-2 call, by the way.

chaos3430: Do we expect any news to come out of the front office today? Anyone getting fired this week, any coaching canidates? We hear all this news coming out of Cleveland, New York and Detroit, but it seems like business as usual at Rams Park, only that business as usual hasn't been very effective the last few years.
Jeff Gordon: Effectively all the coaches have been fired at Rams Park. The search for the next staff is underway. Could these guys return? Some of them might. But change will occur.
