Some Guy: Why dont the Cardinals sign Manny Ramirez and dont tell me they dont have the money I think he would fit great with Albert and the rest of the team.........SIGN Manny!!!!!!!!!!!1
Jeff Gordon: He wants more money than Albert, by a lot, and he's goofy. He is just not a fit for TLR.

TONY: GORDO,
ANY INDICATION IF THE HEADCOACH BEING SOUGHT WILL BE A FRESH FACE LIKE IN (ATL. MIAMI. BALT.) OR EXPERIENCED FORMER COACHES?
Jeff Gordon: I'm guessing it'll be a new face, but why not talk to Mangenius now that he is available?

mjdelpe: Jeff: I think you drink a lot of Kool-Aid, but still enjoy your optimisim. If the roster stays exactly as it is now, what is your predictio for the NL Central? I say the Cubs@100, Milwaukee@93, Cards@90, Reds@86. What does your crystal say?
Jeff Gordon: Milwaukee won't win 93 with its current rotation or bullpen. But, like the Cards, they have time to fix that. The Cubs ARE loaded and Walt will find some nice pieces in Cincy.

Rodney: The RAMS TO DO LISt..1 draft Crabtree out of Texas Tech, to help Tory,Burton,Avery out. 2 Make a move to get another 1st round pick in the draft & get Safety Taylor Maze out of USC 6'3 220 & 40 time is 4.37 out if we do these things we will be in the playoff next year. STL cant do 3 seasons without playoff...out o line is fine & we have good to sub in & out all the time. But if we get a OT or an DT with out 1st 2 picks we will not win no more than 3 games next year.
Jeff Gordon: If Holt leaves, Crabtree will make the offensive coaches drool. But I think they can win more than three games if they beef up both lines as a draft priority. There are more good players on this team that you would guess.

therealdealankiel: Gordo,

I agree on your Manny stance...however, don't you think AP would rather be paid less than Manny for 2-3 years and have a GREAT shot at another title than being the highest paid name on the payroll?

We all know, including AP and Manny, that Pujols is the man and this is his team as long as he wants it to be. I don't care if he is 45 and hitting 12 HR's for 60 RBI, it's his team until he leaves or retires.
Jeff Gordon: No, I don't see Pujols taking less. And Manny is just too weird to spend the jack on. There is only one team that has any interest in him at this point.
