Jim Thomas Live
The Rams beat writer goes one-on-one with readers from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday in a live chat.
Tuesday, September 16, 2008 01:00 PM CDT
signed s. j.: Jim, The question is about two weeks late, but I'm curious.Did the Rams
take Desean Jackson off there draft board? He called himself a ganster.
Thomas(agent Drew),Hardy(past).
Jim Thomas: Tp my knowledge, the Rams did not take Jackson off their board. He took a pre-draft visit to Rams Park. I was told by someone who worked for Jackson's agents that the Rams had told them that they really liked Jackson. I think the Rams had some questions about Jackson's character. I think they were also worried about his size _ seeing him as too small to be more than a slot receiver and return specialist. I was told that had the Rams pulled off a trade (presumably dropping down from No. 2 ovearll in the first round) and picked up an extra second round pick that they would have taken Jackson. But with just one pick, they went for more of what they felt was an everydown player in Avery. Two games into his NFL career, Jackson doesn't look to small, now. Although his bonehead play against Dallas last night _ dropping the football before he crossed the goal line _ was an indication of the kind of attitude the Rams were concerned about.

mr. optomist: hi jim..you rock!!!..i thought the play calling on both sides of the ball was better sunday...bulger seemed to gain a little confidence..the defense covered better, but was outsized...my question is...why does a defense depend so much on players filling gaps, when it seems they never fill them?do all pro teams runs this type defense?if not, after 3 years of telling the fans the reason there were so many big plays was because we didn't fill the gaps, why not go to a different defense that fits the type player u keep picking to be your guys?
Jim Thomas: I don't think you're making too much of this whole "gaps" issue. Yeah, the Rams have brought it up a few times over the past three years. But I don't think it's been a constant thing of gaps, gaps, gaps. But as an undersized front seven, it's more important for them to be in position than a bigger, more physical unit. Saying all that, it's amazing to me that three years into this system, players are still having problems getting lined up right, or knowing their assignments.

The Bandit: The Rams are like a person standing on the ledge of a building threatening to jump.....scary, potentially gorry but hard to take your eyes off them. They are so bad I just have to watch the weekly train wreck! Is there something wrong with me for feeling this way?
Jim Thomas: Everyone likes a good disaster movie.

L King: Why is it all of a sudden good for a coach to quit when less than a year ago every reporter called Petrino a quitter and a snake for leaving his team for another job but now we want Linehan to quit to suit your own home team desires. We all knew this was a possibility when the schedule came out so don't be surprised now or hurt at the reality that we are sorry team we were a 3 win team last year, with a coach who is under lame duck status. I think all of you colunmist try to play both sides against the middle let him finish out and start over next year if he quits its not like all of a sudden we jump to respectability status. No we are the same old sorry RAMS we were at the start of the season.
Jim Thomas: One, I think there's a big difference in what Petrino did. He quit to get another job.
In Linehan's case, keep this in mind. If you're fired as an NFL coach, the team has to honor whatever's left on your contract. If you quit, they don't. Also, these jobs are so hard to get. They're only 32 of them in the world. I think you would have to be pushed out the door.
As far as what's happened on the field, no one is shocked that the Rams have lost their first two games. It's the WAY they've lost them, by 35 and 28 points. In this league, 14 points is a blowout. The team can't be as bad as it has played these first two games _ and that's the problem.

Paul Kaplan: Mr Thomas,
It would be nice to focus on solutions instead of focusing on problems. This team has the talent, they just lack confidence and trust in one another. When will someone take the role of leader. My suggestion is Mr. Witherspoon. He is the man. Ask Mr. Drew Brees. He can set the tone, and has the most athletic ability on this team. Maybe it is time to run some Nitsky drills with him. This team will feed of his intensity and confidence. I would also like to see Mr. Haslett let loose with some intensity. You win with defense.
Jim Thomas: To me, the most disappointing part of the season to date has been the defense. There are a lot of veterans over there, with several first-round draft picks mixed in as well. It's their third year in the system. Usually leadership comes with production on the field in the NFL. In the NFL, the guys that make the plays are the leaders. No one's making plays these days for the Rams.

mwpike: I travelled from Ogdensburg New York to witness a near complete meltdown. Long played well as well as Carriker and Holt. As far as the rest, its time to clear out the locker with the possible exception of Dane Looker. The half time tribute was done tastefully as well as elegantly. I have but a couple of questions for debate. Can Marc Bulger even throw the ball remotely accurately anymore. He completely missed Dane Looker on a sandlot throw, and if Torry Holt was not the professional athlete he is, the ball should have been incomplete. I understand change takes time, however pro football is all about today. My question is will the new management realize this problem does not only apply to the HC or the defensive Coordinator but also to the front office management. It is truly time to re-evaluate this franchise from the top down
Jim Thomas: I believe Bulger completed 63 percent of his passes. That's a pretty good percentage in this league, and he had at least two passes dropped (Hall and McMichael). As for the deep ball to Looker, how do you know it's not Looker's fault? If Looker turns to the right (outside) instead of to the left (inside), it's a touchdown.

Gabriel 2 Snow: Hi Jim, it's so nice to be a Ram fan these days. But no matter how bad it gets, the miracle season of 1999 really did happen, and that's at least some comfort. As for this current group, there are too many problems to address here. I will focus on two.
1.) Marc Bulger... Yes, the entire supporting cast has been a no show. Much of this is not his fault, but I hope we rebuild with another QB. We need a FIELD LEADER at the most important position in the game. We need a QB who is physically & mentally TOUGH! I never ever agreed that we bail on Kurt Warner, & I was fine with Martz leaving for that alone. Warner & other QBs in the league stand in the face of the rush, take the hit to deliver the ball, then bounce up & get on with the next play. They don't get the yips, throw sidearm off their back foot, and continually portray an obvious lack of confidence. If we can bail on a two time MVP & Super Bowl winner, why now let our wagon continue to be pulled by a lame horse? Salary cap? Who cares? If it hurts the cap for a couple years to get new faces, new attitudes, and POSSIBLY new results, fine!
2.) My biggest disappointment has been Haslett. I always had small beefs with some coverage packages, but his boys played with passion. I see LBs overpursue & take bad angles over & over. Tye Hill was never THIS bad, but now he bites HARD on the first move CONSTANTLY! We all HOPED Saunders would turn the offense around, but we sort of counted on the D to be as good, probably better. The mistakes are mostly mental on D, and I know Haslett isn't teaching them wrong, so the've stopped listening and/or caring. Unacceptable. At least in Al's defense, he has played the first two games with inferior personnel against good defensive teams that are very familiar with him.
Your thoughts?
Jim Thomas: Why don't you direct some your ire on the pass blocking? The offensive line? The blitz pickup? I thought Bulger played pretty well Sunday when he wasn't getting his clock cleaned.

roger: I asked Bernie this but he didn't respond.didn't Vance Bedford(Charles Woodsons coach from Michigan, also the secondary coach who devised the plan to hold Tim Tebow in check in last years Bowl game)apply to be secondary coach here in St.Louis this year, get turned down because Linehan wanted to promote the asst.secondary coach to his First job as secondary coach?
Respond if you dare.I'll be watching
Jim Thomas: Wasn't aware that Bedford was in play here. Linehan felt Milus deserved a shot.

midnighter67: Some of the posts in the Rams Forum indicate that Zygmunt has veto power during the draft and has used it to prevent the Rams from picking certain players high in the draft on the basis that certain positions are not worth the money, such as safety Polamalu, now of the Steelers. It was stated that Martz really liked him but Zygmunt didn't think a safety was worth the money he would have gotten as a high draft pick. It seemed that this year the Rams were high on Dorsey up until the night before the draft and then they took Long. That may or may not have been a good decision; we probably won't know for a few years. My question is does Zygmunt have that kind of power and is the Polamalu story, or any others like it, true?
Jim Thomas: I'm not aware that Martz was particularly high on Polamalu. You can't tell me that upper management Shaw-Zygmunt haven't had some influence on the draft at times. The whole Dorsey thing comes to mind. How does a grade suddenly get changed on Thursday less than 48 hours before the draft? But in general, I say they probably should've used their veto power more _ say on Eric Crouch, Travis Scott, Jacoby Shepherd, etc.

rams26: Hello Jim -

How are you? I wrote you last week with regards to the team giving up on Linehan. While I feel the players have not quit, what is wrong with the defense?

Can you elaborate on Looker and Little addressing the team after the game? Also, have you ever seen Linehan so angry at his post game press conference?

Let's put this behind us and beat Seattle.

GO RAMS!!!!!!!!!!
Jim Thomas: I wish I knew what's wrong with the defense. As I mentioned before, to me, it's the most disppointing part of this trainwreck so far.
Never seen Linehan that worked up after a loss.
I'll try to find out more on Looker and Little.

Ramero: Jim. I would love to have back in L.A. these football team in yellow and blue uniforms. Do you know about a contract or something like that, that keeps the Rams from moving. What do the owners have said, or wat do they think regarding these matter? Probably for 2009 will be fair enough. St. Louis does not cares, they show it, and I BELEIVE they are right.
Jim Thomas: Exactly where would the Rams play in LA?
Also, as bad as things are, only three homes games in 13-plus seasons have been blacked out locally. I'd say that's pretty good support considering the product most years. Do you think LA would support the team as well?

Marcus: Hi Jim,

I know that linehan should be let go, but no matter who the coach is they will have the same problems with the front office. Mainly it's Zygmunt and everyone is asking him to leave. Why is he still there, since Shaw is practically gone per Burwell's artice and to some extent Bernie's too.
Also, is there any word if there's a new owner coming soon?
Jim Thomas: Trust me, Zygmunt is being scrutinized also by team ownership. As for the prospective sale of the team, I don't sense that anything is imminent.

Gabriel 2 Snow: Since a coaching change is in the offing, (barring a miraculous turnaround), I wanted to get your thoughts on my preferences. First, no college coaches without previous NFL experience. It takes special people to properly handle immature prima donnas that make many times more $ than the coach. As for specifics:
1.) Brian Billick
2.) Marty Shottenheimer
I think either would create excitment & add credibility to a badly wounded franchise, not to mention win some games. How do you see it Jim, thanks.
Jim Thomas: I haven't given the potential replacements much thought. But the Rams might be more inclined to consider a more experienced coach the next time around.

Mike: Seeing as how this season is already all but written off, and it seems like Torry's just playing out the games now waiting for his chance to leave, any chance of trading him this year??.... for Lito Sheppard perhaps?
Jim Thomas: Did you see Torry's 45-yard TD catch? Did that look like a guy "just playing out the games now waiting for his chance to leave?" Please.

Rams Fan In China (Really!): JT,
Thanks as always for the chat. I studied rhetoric in college, and I'm amazed by the excuses, obfuscations and explanations offered by the Rams to the St. Louis fans and media for both the state of this team and the decisions this organization makes.

Examples (quotes paraphrased):
"Coach Linehan is a good guy." Is he? His record of cutting players to bring in players whose top quality is being his buddy doesn't seem like something a "good guy" would do. Just ask Hedgecock.

"Dick Vermiel had two losing seasons and won the Super Bowl in the third." DV was an experienced coach and great motivator with really lousy personnel. Only direct interviention by the supernatural is getting the 2008 Rams to .500, much less the Superbowl.

"We've got a lot of talent on this squad." Yeah, if we're back in time and it's 2006. But it's 2008. Bulger's been getting totally murdered for two years (Oline's fault, not his), Pace is as fragile as china, Holt's lost a step, and Jackson hasn't put together a decent game in a while, let alone a whole season. Other than our kicker, who do we have? (don't say anyone on D, they've given up almost 1K yards in two games, which is pathetic).

"We hung with them for three quarters". Football games last four quarters, longer if they go to OT.

"The Giants went 0-2 last year and then went on to win the Superbowl." Rams record in the last two seasons so far: 3-16.
Rams touchdowns in the first two games in 2008: 1
Redzone plays run: 0
Points scored: 16
Total yardage conceeded by the defense: almost 1000 (this just blows my mind)
Total points conceeded: 79
Special teams: Awful
Average game score: Rams Opponent 39.5, Rams 8
It doesn't get turned around THAT fast in the NFL. I actually think the Rams haven't hit bottom yet, which really scares me.

"...accountability..." Not with this franchise in this universe

"Georgia Frontiere wanted Coach Linehan to have a third season as coach". With all respect to Mrs. Frontiere and her loved ones, successful football franchises don't make key personnel decisions based on the wishes of deceased former owners who had little football knowledge in the first place (which is why we have Shaw and JZ, which is another issue altogether).

So, I guess my question is, do the individuals making these statements actually believe that we, the fans, are buying it? Or are they just delusional? There is an obvious course of action for this franchise, and it involves removing administrative staff, coaches, and players. Do they just not get it? When we start getting creamed by Arizona and SF this year by Warner, Ike, and Martz, it's going to get very ugly.

Thanks, and sorry about the rantness of this question. I really do love your live chat and read it every week here in Nanjing.
Jim Thomas: Well, I guess you can choose to retain whatever you want from the articles and press conferences.
Linehan has also said he excepts the blame for what goes on. And what's going on, he said, was "lousy."
Pisa Tinoisamoa said the defense let the entire team down by it's play in the fourth quarter Sunday.
Leonard Little has said it's embarrassing the way the team is playing now.
So I think a lot of the answers make sense. The problem is, if there was an easy way out of this mess, it would be taking place right now.

ram4life: Is there anybody out there reputable who would coach this team?
Jim Thomas: Sure, you may not get someone like Bill Cowher. He can afford to be very picky. And a lot depends on how many openings there are league-wide by the end of the year. But as I mentioned in an earlier post, there are only 32 of these jobs available in the world. Someone highly qualified would love the chance.

ram4life: At least this time Linehan didnt try to sell us any "fried icecream" in his press conference. Everyone's surprised that this team quit in the 4th quarter. This is the same team that was crying about the heat during training camp when the temp got up to 89 degrees. Long has looked good so far, but, the secondary, wow. What is going on with Tye Hill? I think until this team learns how to win a game, noone should be saved during preseason. Your take Jim
Jim Thomas: It looks to me like Hill's confidence is totally shot. You can always get it back, but maybe you sit him down for a few weeks.

david: Hey Jim,

Do you think the rookie king would have cracked the nickle back spot by now if he was healthy this season. I'm just trying to work out what the rams were thinking by not going after anyone of decent caliber in the secondary in FA or the draft. Did they really like that unit or was King supposed to really contribute? I just don't see it. Bartell is the only one i would keep in the long run. Maybe too soon to give up on hill and wade and OJ but realistically the rams need to find 3 starting DB's next offseason....
Jim Thomas: There are only so many draft picks. The Rams valued DE, WR, and OL higher than corner _ at least at each spot in the draft in those first three rounds. The team would've made a move on Marcus Trufant in free agency but he was franchised by Seattle.

ram4life: One of the reasons i hear for Avery's lack of playing time is he only knows Holt's routes. Tell me this coaching staff is not that stupid? This team needs help at every position and you take this young receiver and teach him your superstar's routes, not Bennett's routes, but Holt's. Jim please tell me this isnt true. Burton and Avery shouldve been learning Bennett's routes based on his performance last year. To tell the truth, he didnt set the world on fire in Tennessee. Especially not to the caliber that he shouldve been playing receiver for the Rams. As an insider i want to hear your take
Jim Thomas: Avery backs up Holt at split end; Burton backs up Bennett at flanker. Often, rookie backups work at one position, and once they learn that, they work in at other spots. Avery, we're told, is going to start working at other positions as well as split end.

Rich: Hey Jim,

Do you see the Rams making real changes on the defensive side of the ball this week. Specifically in the secondary.

Hill is on pace to be this years Josh David. Every WR that he has matched up with has owned him.

And Chavous is really starting to show his age. His veteran savvy can no longer compensate for his lack of speed.

What can it hurt to throw Manning Jr, and Todd Johnson into the line up. Heck throw Wade into the mix - can he really be worse than Hill right now?

Also I am getting the impression Brown's shoulder injury isn't anywhere close to being healed.

Thanks for these chats.
Jim Thomas: Brown isn't 100 percent. He's played OK, though.
I think it's time to take a look at Manning Jr.

djjr11854: Jim,
I actually have a couple of questions for you. First what in your opinion can be done about this porous defense? I used to think that Haslett was a very good defensive coach. Is it just because he doesn't have the right players? Secondly what possibly coaches are available if the Rosenblooms do decide to fire Linehan? I've read names like Cowher, Ditka, Singletary, etc. I think that's exactly what this teams needs is a fiery take no nonsense kind of coach.
And as always thanks for your time and energy to keep the long distant fans in the loop.
Jim Thomas: Well, he should have the right players. Eight of the 11 defensive starters against the New York Giants were players brought in since Linehan became head coach. You can't blame the personnel on Martz. As for possible new head coaches, I don't know if fiery so much is the end-all, be-all. They need to find someone with clear leadership ability. For example, I don't think anyone would call Tony Dungy or Lovie Smith fiery, but they definitely know how to lead the ship.

S. Monkey: Hi JT,

I know, I know, Bennett is a bad signing, FIRE LINEHAN, what's up with Tye Hill, does Carriker have a position, is Bulger shell shocked, etc.

While we won't go 0-16, another 3-13 repeat year is not out of the question. What do you see as a two to three year roadmap for our franchise to become competitive again?
Jim Thomas: Draft well. Prevent your core players from leaving via free agnency. Have strong leadership at the top.

bfulton: As always, thanks for the chats. Will anyone besides Linehan be put on notice? Is Shaw, Zygmunt or even Devaney on notice, too?
Jim Thomas: Don't know for sure. But I think Rosenbloom has gotten everyone's attention here at Rams Park.

Tom: Hi Jim,

Who do you real is in jeopardy of losing there starting job as per Linehan press conference? I would think no one is safe at this point.

Thanks, Tom
Jim Thomas: You know, we'll see later in the week. I've frequently heard coaches over the years at Rams Park say they're considering making changes in the lineup, and then things usually stay the same.

skeletor_rulez_80: Mr Thomas
If their is a coaching change, what is the percentage chance that Henry Ellard is given a chance to turn things around. Would he want to take the next step? As a former player and close to the Rosenbloom family, could he earn the respect of the players and get fire back into this team?

thank you

Ram fan since 1993
Aaron
Swansea IL
Jim Thomas: I know Ellard is highly respected by the wide receivers. He has a lot of street cred because of what he accomplished in the league. But I have no idea if Ellard could lead an entire time, motivate a team, deal with the press, etc. It's also unusual, although it does happen from time to time, to see a non-coordinator promoted to head coach. I don't know if Ellard is interested in becoming a head coach.

Ron: Jim,

With Marc Bulger struggling in the first two games, do you think it is to early to start thinking of making a quarterback change? Trent Green might not be the answer, but it is worth a shot.
Jim Thomas: I thought Bulger played fairly well against the Giants, all things considered.

Kiko: In your opinion would changing coaches at this point in time help or hurt the Rams? And who do you think they can replace Linehan with?
Jim Thomas: I don't think anybody but Al Davis would fire a head coach after two games. I don't know what the problem is. But this team is better than 38-3 and 41-13. If the embarrassments continue to mount, I think it's very possible that a change will be made before the season's out. And that's something I thought I'd never say before because it has been so contrary to past Rams policy.
As for interim head coach, that's a tricky one? Do Saunders and Haslett deserve "promotions?" Veteran LB coach Rick Venturi has been an interim coach twice. Do you plead with Dick Vermeil to come in and provide leadership? I've heard some rumblings about Henry Ellard. It's a tough call.

Jason: Jim,

If Jim Haslett continues to throw management & Linehan
"under the bus" which he is! (but no one in the media seems to be reporting)........Management would consider firing Linehan & Haslett, would they not?

-Jason
Jim Thomas: Not sure what you're getting at. Are you accusing Haslett of purposely tanking games?

Matt: Jim,

One of the things I've noticed about Bulger is that he refuses to throw the ball away when receivers are not open. I realize he wants to make something happen, but wouldn't it be better to throw it away and try to get six yards on 3rd down rather than sixteen? Do the coaches ever talk about this?
Jim Thomas: Yes, they do talk about it.

brutch: JT,

Thanks for the chat. Do you know what the reaction to the columns Bernie and Burwell wrote yesterday? If Chip makes a change, would it only be with the coaching staff, or is there heat on Zygmunt as well?
Jim Thomas: I don't know for sure. But I think Rosenbloom is evaluating Zygmunt as well.

Benjamin: Hey JT,

Obviously there are many problems to talk about, but in my mind the Offensive line looks like the biggest issue. I saw a crazy stat toward the end of the first half Sunday that Bulger had been sacked 4 times & hit another 4 in 10 pass attempts! We're talking about 3 step drops & swing passes amongst those 10 attempts. How is it possible that this line is sooooo bad, and in your opinion is this a chemistry issue, talent issue, line calls, attitude???? Also is there anything that could be done to improve their performance as a unit? Thanks.
Jim Thomas: As bad as the blocking has been, particularly the pass blocking, I would still say the biggest disappointment is the overall play of the defense.

Craig Matson-Wilson: Hello Jim ,
Old time So Cal Ram Fan here , I hope the Rams go ahead and commit to the running game against the Seahawks and the rest of the season. The 3yds per attempt passing yardage the sacks against this team and the failure of Bulger and the Offencive line to perform well in the passing game all speak to a need to maximize the running game in the gameplans for any chance at success.

Besides that we are also going to have play Cliff Ryan and Adenayu more in the rotation on 1st and 2nd downs because of their ability against the run.

Further i dont think we can afford to keep Chavous on the field without consequences of embarrassment for him and sustained rushing dominance by the opposition.

The new safety we picked up from the Colts at cut down day and Todd Johnson need to platoon with Chavous as other changes are worked in across the board .
Hate to cite indivduals when the whole team stinks but tough choices need to be made to get some competance and some wins out there.

And while i got the floor the play calls offence and defence not only stink but leave the fans wondering how mentally gounded or creative these coordinators are !!??

Nothing is going right DARN IT !!??
Jim Thomas: I was surprised, too, that Ryan, Adeyanju (and even Eric Moore, who was active Sunday) weren't "waved" into the rotation. Normally, the Rams use a heavy substitution system on the defensive front, but that wasn't the case Sunday.

Tony: This is more a comment than a question, but I found it humorous that they are making a big deal that the hawks will be without their top 6 receivers. I predict the guy they signed off the couch will have more catches and yards than Torry Holt. In fact, they all should have career days against the Rams secondary. Can this actually get worse?
Jim Thomas: I keep thinking it can't get any worse. . .and then it does.

chattylicker: Hi jim great job as always! Why dont we see any of jim hasletts exotic blitzes last year we got good pressure with witherspoon blitzing our de's arent getting any pressure and our cb's arent good enough to cover? If we have any chance of winning this week should be a good opportunity because seattle's wr's are hurt and if we cant handle scrubs it will be a long year
Jim Thomas: Many of the blitzes simply aren't getting there. What we haven't seen much of is Witherspoon blitzing; I wonder if that's because that groin injury is still bothering him.

West Coast Ram: Jim,
All this talk about bring back Vermeil, do the fans not remember that he had one good season in STL. It wasn't like he was a quick turn around specialist. I believe that his record after 2 seasons was worse than the current staff.
Jim Thomas: Good point. Vermeil was 9-23 after two seasons in St. Louis; Linehan was 11-21. Of course, Year 3 looks like a different matter.

Where's 2007's 1st rounder?: Does Carriker need to move to DE to make an impact on defense? We don't have much of a pass rush, and he didn't do much at defensive tackle on Sunday.

Thanks for your thoughts.

p.s. With Hasselbeck's hurt back and no receivers, I think we can make a game of it in Seattle.
Jim Thomas: I wouldn't call Carriker a natural pass rusher. I think if he played end it would have to be in a 3-4 scheme.

Ruben: Jim,
Thanks for taking my questions. After hearing from Mr. Rosenbloom and Linehan, do you believe a change of head coach can happen before end of the year or is this just a PR move to keep the fans from revolting, in hopes of getting a couple of wins?
Jim Thomas: I cannot predict with certainty what will happen. But I'll say this Chip Rosenbloom's comments were not a PR move.

Dino In Sacto: Hello Jim,
I am seeing more and more of Receivers pushing off to get open and nothing being called. Is is a trend in the league to get more points on the board for the fans?
Thanks for taking questions
Jim Thomas: I've noticed this too _ and not just in the Rams' game. The league always seems to favor the offense when it comes to rules changes and interpretations. They know offense is good for ratings. I also think, in general, there seems to be a trend towards "just letting 'em play." To me, the games seem to be called loosely so far this year.

erich_stlmo@yahoo.com: How long Burton might be out?
Jim Thomas: If he needs a 'scope to clean up the cartilage, we're talking about one month.

Aries: How close are we to seeing the front office get cleaned up. Also who do you speculate would be a viable candidate (other than Saunders and Haslett) for the interim HC. One last question, why is SJ only getting 13 carries a game?

Thanks,

Aries on the west coast
Jim Thomas: I was surprised Jackson didn't get more carries against the Giants. By now, Jackson should be up to speed, hold out or no hold out. I thought we'd see a greater commitment to the running game so far by Saunders.

Petey123: Jim, do you think the Rams will be in St. Louis after the 2015 season? I'd hate to see them leave, and just asking your personal opinion. Thanks.
Jim Thomas: Yes, I think they'll be here.

Andrew: Where are all the playmakers at? I just don't get it. This Kid Avery needs to be in the game. They need to move Holt around so he can make more plays.. Why not try to make adjustments, this offense is going nowhere. Also, what has happend to our secondary, why have they gotten off to such a bad start?

(Sorry, Just Frustrated to Watch Another Season Go Down the Drain)
Jim Thomas: I don't get it either. And the more I read these questions. The more I get a headache. Let's face it, things are so bad right now, they defy explanation. We'll see what this week brings. See you all next week.
