jon in kentucky: Any word on the injuries of Jacob Bell, and Bartell?
Jim Thomas: They're expected to be OK.

BigDaddyTomCat: Does Drew Bennett have one foot out the door since being put on IR

Hopefully they will cut him June 1st to minimize the cap hit.

You said Cory Chavous may not be back next year. Is his contract up?
I hope he's gone sooner then later.

Also why is Carter still on this team. He makes no plays on ST's or see's the field in real action
Jim Thomas: Chavous still has a couple years left on his contract.
There is no Carter on the current squad.

Darren: With the collective bargaining agreement in jeapordy does this throw a monkey wrench into free agency, salary cap, draft, etc?
Jim Thomas: It complicates things, but business will go on.

seam-route: Jim,
Any chance of Vermiel stepping in as GM when Zygmut bows out?

Also, any idea where Chase Coffman will go in the draft, and do the Rams have interest in him?
Jim Thomas: Don't think so on Vermeil.
One NFC personnel guy said he thought Coffman could be a Dallas Clark guy _ i.e., not much of a blocker but an excellent receiver. As to where that translates on draft day, it's way too early to tell.

Entreri10: Hey Jim,

Do you think guys like Bartell and Otogwe are going to get resigned after the season ( i think they would be important pieces for the future) or is it going to be more like evaluating how the team does the rest of the season and going on from there?
Jim Thomas: Certainly, the final eight games will have a lot to say about who stays and who goes, but I believe the Rams want to re-sign both Atogwe and Bartell.
