Michael: Hey JR, I was wondering what the status was with Lemtyugov regarding his future with the Blues. Thanks.
Jeremy Rutherford: He's back in Russia, but the Blues still hold his rights.
Eddie: Hey JR,
Jeremy Rutherford: What?
Eddie: Hey JR,
Are you going to Kevin's on the 11th for the 4th of july party? HAHA. Do you think our division is going to have a good fight this year with Hossa signing with hawks? Do you think Ty and Mason will compete for starting goalie this year?
Jeremy Rutherford:
Yes, Eduardo, I will be at the 4th of July party. See you there.
With Hossa joining the 'Hawks, the Central Division just got a lot more intriguing. The Blues had a lot of success against the 'Hawks last year, and those game should be even better next year.
Mason will be the starter and Conklin will be the backup, but goaltenders usually go through ups and downs, so I'm sure there will be some gray area during the season. But the roles are defined, and that's a good thing.
Harry S. Deals: JR
You mentioned the Blues will be counting on what they have to keep pace with Chicago, but I'm concerned about their offencive depth over the course of a long NHL season. Perron, Backes, Oshie and Berglund should be nice productive NHL players, but if one or two has sophmore slumps, injuries, etc the Blues will have a hard time scoring.
What are the chances they sign a veteran UFA forward? Is this the line-up they are sticking with in your opinion?
Jeremy Rutherford:
They may still do something, but nothing that'll make a difference in my estimation. JD seems pretty content on going to battle with this lineup.
Jeremy Rutherford: LOTS of questions today. You guys are really geeked up about this team. Remember, Pro Orientation camp is next week at the Mills. See you there.
