David Johns: Wheres the training camp roster? almost every other team has released theirs, and camp starts friday.
Jeremy Rutherford: You probably have found it by now. It was in the Post-Dispatch on Wednesday and we put it in numerical order to make it easier on those going out to camp. If you didn't see it there, the Blues may have it on their website.

Adam: Long time no see JR,

Any news on how many Blues games will be in HD? Also when do you think we will get to see the new jerseys?
Jeremy Rutherford: Not sure on the number of HD games. As far as the third jerseys, I would expect something soon. I remember last year the Blues introduced their new jerseys at FANfest.

billy pilgrim: Centre is the key to the Blues offensive capabilities ( including the PP ).
McDonald ( 2nd line ) and McClement ( 4th line ) are fixed.
Of Berglund, Stastny and Tkachuk/Oshie, who will centre the 1st and 3rd lines?
And, where does Lee Stempniak fit in, especially if Lemtyugov ( who looked good at Traverse City ) makes the club?
Lastly, the boys took a lot of penalties in Traverse City. Do you think this will translate to more penalty-killing opportunities during the regular season? If only Brett Sonne were a little older and ready for the NHL!
As always, thanks JR...
Jeremy Rutherford: What's up Billy?

The center position depends on two things: Where the Blues play Keith Tkachuk. He told me at the end of last season that he's played center because that's what the Blues needed, BUT he would prefer to be back on left wing. He looks better at wing to me . . . that's where he's played his whole career.

Whether or not the Blues can afford to play Tkachuk at left wing depends on how ready Patrik Berglund is this season. If Berglund can hold down a top-line center spot (a big if), then Tkachuk could play wing. You could have 1) McDonald 2) Berglund 3) McClement 4) Stastny/Porter. If Berglund can't hack it right away, then you need Tkachuk in the middle.

The only problem with Tkachuk at left wing: it creates a logjam there. 1) Kariya 2) Tkachuk 3) Perron 4) Stempniak 5) King . . . I think Stempniak will continue to play left wing on the third line, but we'll have to see how it unfolds. Lemtyugov will get a look at some point, but probably not at the start of the season.

Mark: JR,

How is Brewer and EJ's shoulders coming along? Are either expected to miss any of training camp or regular season games?
Jeremy Rutherford: Johnson said his shoulder is close to 100 percent and he looked fine during informal skates the past few weeks. I haven't talked to Brewer, but JD says that his shoulder is fine, too, and Brewer was also skating with teammates at the Mills.

They may have limited contact in camp, but both will be ready for the regular season.

Mark: JR,

I was pleasently surprised to see that Tomas Kana played in the Traverse City tournament. What are the Blues plans for him this year? Is he actually in shape? How likely is it that he plays in Peoria this season?
Jeremy Rutherford: Tomas Kana is hard to keep track of. Last year, he left Peoria and played back home in Czech and Alaska. Remember he was the 31st pick in the 2006 draft, six picks behind Berglund. I think his stock has faded since draft day, but the Blues still view him as a prospect. My guess would be Peoria for him this season, but he's got to get his act together. I've heard that he can a lazy player.
