Lamb Basher: Has nutless Linny been fired yet? Why can't the powers to be out at Rams' Daycare see what is happening? Or does nobody care anymore? Why does it seem like the ONLY people who give a hoot are the fans? Sad.
Jeff Gordon: The folks running the Rams care, they just do a lousy job.
Francisco Prado: Gordo, can you tell me about the meeting that took place between Marshall Faulk and Chip. I read in a web site(Show Turf Times) about this proposed talk between them. What did they talk about? Do you see Faulk involved with this team in some sort of front office gig? Keep up the great work!
Jeff Gordon: Faulk wants to get into a NFL front office. He'd love to work for the Rams. He is still part of the family. He is still on good terms with Shaw. Trouble, Chip is likely to sell the team sooner than later. Marshall will have to talk to the next owner if he wants to be more than an interim front-office guy.
okcarhauler: Jeff, now that Loserhand will be fired by Monday Afternoon, Who would be a good intermin coach, and How soon will Zygmunt be behind him out the door?
Jeff Gordon: Haslett and Saunders have been head coaches and Venturi has been an interim head coach. So there is no shortage of experienced guys on hand. There are some outside guys, like Fassel, but the team's interim ownership situation clouds the situation.
okcarhauler: Jeff, I got a wild idea, How about after the dust settles, we hire Mike Martz back as head coach? At least the team would be interesting again. But I also want a Real GM to run the draft and free agent signing. I like MM, but I don't want him to run the draft. Trung Candidate is enough said. He did thake this team to the superbowl, and I think he could do it again.
Jeff Gordon: Mad Mike wanted all the power when he was here before, and that killed his head coaching career. As you noted, he wasn't the best personne; guy ever. He may get another head coaching job, but it would be tough to return here as long as Shaw is still involved. His time here did not end well.
okcarhauler: Jeff, do you think there was any truth about the Rams, mainly Loserhand trading or releasing Torry Holt? I personally think that this is the straw that broke the camels back as far as firing Loserhand. Chip Rosenbloom really needs to step in and stop this nonsense!
Jeff Gordon: Scott doesn't have the juice to move Holt. He did, however, have the juice to move Brown. On the "releasing players" front, he must have been tempted to turn Bulger loose after Marc reportedly told people he didn't want to play for Scott any more. But, again, Scott didn't have much juice.
