marvin slay: Mr. Gordon,
How did Mr. Irrelvant do today for team irrelevant?
Marvin Slay
Jeff Gordon: Jim Haslett saw some missed assignments, but he felt that Vobora did pretty good for a rookie (and seventh-round pick) making his first NFL start.
Tackleberry: Why are the Rams so ineffective in the redzone? It is almost like there is an invisible wall that won't allow them to score. Is it the absence of McMichael? Is it the absence of a true fullback?
Jeff Gordon: Haslett has no answer to this mystery. Obviously, if Jackson can play a full game, that would help. He should be the finisher. In this game, the Rams did OK with the rush blocking, too.
God bless him, Al Saunders tried to work his tight ends in this game. But there is no Randy McMichael out there.
Tackleberry: As the Rams are being carved up by Pennington/Ginn Jr/London is the need for a legit #1 VETERAN cornerback and younger more effective safety becoming more glaring?
Jeff Gordon: The team needs everything on D, really. Every position is a need position.
Tackleberry: Are the Rams the only team in the NFL that don't use a lead back on short yardage running situations? Does the ghost of Martz still haunt the dome on 3rd & short?
Jeff Gordon: Sadly, there is no lead back on the roster. Where is Madison Hedgecock when you need him?
boleil: Well, see you next wee...wait a minute. It's halftime and we're still in the game? Can this be?
Does Stephen Jackson really make this much of a difference? I suspect a second half chokejob is imminent. At least for 1 half, it looks like a football team showed up to play today. Now if only Bulger could remember that he used to know how to play the game...
Jeff Gordon: Had Jackson had the durability to keep up his attack, the second half might have played out differently.
