Eight-year-old Caroline Gagen captured the most votes in round 1 of our Muny Karaoke competition with her a-cappella performance of "Maybe" from "Annie." Caroline wins a package of Muny vouchers, good for four tickets to a show of her choice later in the season.
It's not too late to play along, though. We'll be holding karaoke competitions three more times: Wednesday, before "Titanic"; July 15, before "Damn Yankees"; and July 22, before "Cats." The winner from each week will advance to a final round of online voting.
The grand-prize winner gets a package of prizes: an autographed copy of "The Muny: Songs of St. Louis Summers" by Post-Dispatch theater critic Judith Newmark, four tickets to a 2010 Muny show of his or her choice, a preshow backstage tour and a preshow dinner for four at the Culver Pavilion.
