The best-selling mother-daughter team of Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark are the featured authors for this year's Assistance League brunch.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. April 16 at the Missouri Athletic Club,  405 Washington Avenue.

Here is some information from the press release:

Mary Higgins Clark has sold over 100 million copies of her twenty nine novels, three collections of stories and a memoir. Two of her novels have been made into feature films, and many of her other works have been made into television films. Mary will focus her appearance at the Authors Brunch on speaking about her writing career, her charity work and her new book, "I'll Walk Alone," to be released in April.

Carol Higgins Clark is the daughter of Mary Higgins Clark and the author of thirteen Regan Reilly mysteries. She has co-authored five holiday thrillers with her mother. Carol is also an actress. Carol will speak about her career path, acting to writing, and how she and her mother work together -- "Mary goes for the jugular and Carol goes for the funny bone". Carol has a new book, "Mobbed," A Regan Reilly Mystery, also to be released in April. Both new books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

Ticket prices are $55 for a regular guest ticket ($25 is tax deductible) and $75 for a Patron ticket ($45 is tax deductable, listing in program).  Money helps support the Assistance League's programs, such as providing school uniforms and shoes to disadvantaged students, personal care products to abused women in shelters and more.
