Richard Paul Evans

Richard Paul Evans, author of "The Christmas Box" and other popular heart-tugging books, will be one of the authors featured at the Assistance League's annual authors brunch.

The league is an all-volunteer nonprofit service organization.  Money raised at the brunch stays in St. Louis and supports the league's programs.

Along with Evans, the event features local author Carol Ferring Shepley, who wrote about the prominent people buried in the fascinating Bellefontaine Cemetery in "Movers and Shakers, Scalawags and Suffragettes."

The brunch, which costs $60, will be April 28 at the Missouri Athletic Club Downtown.
