Kakao Chocolate is hosting a beer-and-chocolate pairing night at its new Maplewood store on Thursday, July 7. All proceeds will benefit local food bank Operation Food Search.
Hip Hops is happy to be serving as the beer pairer and pourer for this event. We've got six great craft beers lined up that we know will match beautifully with the nibs that Kakao owner Brian Pelletier and his team of chocolatiers are busy creating.
The setup will be similar to the cheese-and-chocolate night that Kakao hosted this month. Pelletier's team will incorporate beer into six unique chocolate creations (you read that right -- beer will an ingredient in all of the confections). Each one will be served with a pour of beer intended to complement and elevate the chocolate-eating experience.
The event starts at 7:30 p.m. on July 7, and tickets cost $25. Seating is limited to 12 people. Call 314-645-4446 for reservations.
If you can't attend, you will still have a chance to purchase the beery chocolates at Kakao after July 7, while supplies last. But you'll be on your own with beer pairings, and when it comes to chocolate and beer, who wants to be alone?
