Coming soon to Edwardsville: Global Brew Tap House & Lounge, a new craft-beer bar that plans to be open by mid-November with 50 draft choices and more than 200 bottled varieties.

Located at 112 South Buchanan Street, Global Brew will not serve food, but -- similar to iTap's model -- patrons are welcome to bring food with them or have it delivered. Neighboring options include Wasabi, Caffé Avanti, Subway and Domino's (not to mention other fine spots around the corner like Bigelo's Bistro, Erato and Fond).

The new pub-inspired space is the brainchild of Ryan Lowe and the husband-and-wife team of Ryan and Laura High, who apparently resisted the urge to name it the High and Lowe Bar.

"The Ryans and I live and work in the area, and we're ready for a place for the community to hang out and try some great beer," Laura High says.

What else should you know about the owners? Ryan Lowe enjoys brown ales, Ryan High prefers IPAs, Laura High is happy with a hefeweizen or pumpkin beer, and the Highs' two dogs drink Beefy Ale Bowser Beer.

They say to expect a frequently changing selection of beers on tap, as well as bottles from all over the world. Here's a partial list of what will be on draft when Global Brew opens:

• Lindemans Framboise (Belgium)

• New Holland Dragon's Milk (Holland, Mich.)

• Southern Tier Oat Imperial Stout (Lakewood, N.Y.)

• North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout (Fort Bragg, Calif.)

• New Belgium Sunshine Wheat (Fort Collins, Colo.)

• Bell's Oarsman (Kalamazoo, Mich.)

• Hacker-Pschorr Weisse Bock (Germany)

• Shmaltz Coney Island Lager (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.)

• Unibroue Blanche de Chambly (Quebec)

• Ayinger Celebrator (Germany)
