The party — pantsless or otherwise — at Verlin's Bar & Grill seems to be over. The bar at 1449 South Vandeventer Avenue, known for its scantily clad female servers, is closed.
The establishment has been stripped of its TVs, pool table, Jägermeister machine and other furnishings, and repeated calls to the bar have gone unanswered. When I stopped by this afternoon, piles of outdated periodicals blocked the entrance.
Verlin's opened last year in Soulard but moved to the edge of the Grove neighborhood, into the former Billy Goat Restaurant & Bar space, this summer. Night Shift reviewed the bar last month, after the bar gained attention when a noted politician stopped by.
