Wear good walking shoes, figure out in advance what type of wines you'd like to taste -- and consider bringing a designated driver to this weekend's St. Louis Food and Wine Experience, which takes place at the The Chase Park Plaza Hotel, 202 North Kingshighway Boulevard, and benefits the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.

General admission good Saturday or Sunday is $50 in advance, $60 at the door. Buy an advance ticket good for Sunday only (when the show is less crowded) and save $10. Hours both days are noon-5 p.m.

More than 700 wines will be poured in the main portion of the show, but the best bottles are in the VIP Reserve room. Those tickets are $95 in advance, $100 at the door.

And designated drivers? They can get into the main portion of the show for $25.

In addition, a premier tasting, described as "A Cellar-Maker's Dream," is set from 7-10 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $175 and $250; the higher price includes admission to the VIP room on Saturday or Sunday.
