The St. Louis Jewish Film Festival is soliciting new and established filmmakers for its second annual short film competition. This year's theme is "Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.'

The deadline for letters of intent is February 24, 2012 with an entry fee of $10.  Students from 6th grade to college are welcome to participate, and there is also a professional category. Filmmakers do not have to be Jewish to submit an entry.

Competitors should submit a film of five minutes or less on a topic related to kindness or compassion.

The deadline for submissions is April 27. The winning films will be showcased at the 17th annual St. Louis Jewish Film Festival, which is slated for June.

For information, rules and an entry form, visit www.stljewishfilmfestival.org.
