Anyone know when Ellis and Salechich will be making their way across the Pacific? I was able to follow a little bit of the FIBA U20s earlier this summer....look forward to seeing them in the Atlantic-10!

The S.L.U. men's soccer team begins their schedule shortly as well....couple of nice teams coming to campus.

I got a note from Christian Salecich that he's in Canberra now, and will go home to Gold Coast, Australia on the 15th, then be at home for a week before he flies to St. Louis for freshman orientation the week of August 24.

I know SLU is still waiting for Ellis to clear the NCAA but they are confident that there isnt going to be any problems. They both should be on campus in late August.

Classes start on August 26. I have to be back on Campus on Sunday Aug. 23 for the first Sunday night Mass for students at the College Church. Three will probably be some buzz going on that weekend.

SLU's fall break starts this afternoon and runs through next Wednesday. For everyone except the basketball and soccer teams.

Christian Salecich indicated earlier today that SLU basketball practice starts this evening, with two-a-days to follow while the rest of the University is on break.

Still no word from my sources on the academic status of forward Cody Ellis, who cannot report to SLU yet because the NCAA is still investigating one of his previous classes.
