Those of you who want Dunn if Holliday doesn't comeback, this guy would be a better alternative. He doesn't have as much power but he can field better then Dunn. He was the guy who two Grand Slams against the Brewers in the same game! He would be more like Ankiel(when healthy) and I don't think he would cost as much prospects as done would. Anyone interested?

Wait, someone besides Tatis hit 2 grand slams in one inning? How did I miss that?

I missed it too, where the he11 was I at? Anyway, I think Dunn is a better offensive weopon, the way I look at it our D is pretty solid as it is I think we could offord to have a guy like Dunn at LF. I still have hopes they retain Holliday though.

I correct myself. It was July 27th. It wasn't the same inning but he became just the third only NL player to ever do such feat

Josh Willingham hit Grand Slams in back-to-back innings not the same inning, The added plus on Dunn is he hits left handed and thats something the Cards need.

Someone is messing with the original post. It stated the same game, then "inning" was substituted for "game" in the follow-up quote.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand the interest in Willingham. He is a career .264 hitter, modest HR totals and struck out 104 times last year.
Assuming he is healthy from his surgery, Xavier Nady is a better option as a Holliday replacement.
I would rather commit to Allen Craig in LF than go after Willingham. Willingham does not set a high bar for Craig or any other LF-er.

Willingham had a 1.049 ops against LHP last year with 7 homers. Holliday's was .806 with 3 homers. Couldn't hurt the hitting vs. LHP.

IMO we should have traded for him rather than Holliday. We still make the playoffs, have someone who can hit left handed pitchers and he would be back in 2010. Oh yeah. Did I mention he would have cost less and his agents name isn't Boras.

He didn't get moved for a reason, he still has great value to them since he is under control at a reasonable price for 2 more years.
