Very solid game, especially since he missed all preseason with the shin injury.

***REALITY CHECK***
I wonder if his skin tone has anything to do with his perceived athletic ability (or lack thereof)...?

I am interested to see how he holds up over the course of an NBA season. He's clearly not the best athlete on the court, and if you go back to the game against Oklahoma last year that would be clear. However, the Heels got a lot of miles out of him and I wonder if he can maintain the same performance level over 84 games. A point per minute played is a nice start.

I don't think his skin tone has anything to do with it. His skill set yes, but his skin tone no.

White guy went ahead of him this year. 3 white guys went ahead of where he went last year. White guy went #1 in 2006. You got the skills they don't care about your skin color.

Honestly it does not matter what u look like or where u're from. The NBA is an international league. Look at the Spurs. The most important thing is what skills do u bring to your team to help them win. He looks like he's going to be a good player. Glad he finally saw some action.

83 internationals currently in the nba. its a nice size and growing. International bball really caught up after the dreamteam. I wonder what China BBall will be like in a generation considering their population and the fact that 250 million people there play it.

I think China will still take a little while to catch up. The coaching in many of the Euro countries has been good for years. I think the coaching deficit in China will hold them back for a little while. It will probably hold them back another 10-15 years. Once they get back some of the players that have been playing out of China at all different levels to come to coach is when you will start seeing China make big steps.
