I remember that being said last year a lot on here. 13 GP 13 points and +11. He is an absolute monster and I so wish we would have been able to get him from the Ducks. I do realize that, in the end the price was too high, but this team would be SO much better with him. Sigh Miss ya CP

Everytime I watch him, and see those machine like, tape to tape passes, it's a reminder of what a special talent he is.
I guarantee you that if he was on our backline, we would not have gone thru that long scoreless streak.

Agreed....him as the commander of the team...leading them on the PP and PK ... things would be much different. He is a dominant force at both ends.

But would you have given him the kind of deal Philly did? Would you really want him eating up cap that much space when he's 42? Pronger is still a dominant defenseman, no doubt. I just don't know if he'll have enough gas in the tank by the time this team is really a legitmate contender.

I just think he automatically makes us a contender (or at least way more competetive)...like he did with the Oilers. He is that much of a force when he's at the top of his game, while neutralizing the other team's top player(s).

I must concede...I believe the price was a bit too high.

The price would have been high but Pronger is still a difference maker.

Wouldn't we have had to give up something like Perron + Peitrangelo + 2 1st round picks?

As good as he is, I still don't think it's worth it. Plus he's been inserted into a very talented line-up (even with all of their injuries).

I thought the Ducks really wanted TJ Oshie.
