Anybody attend this game? The Flyers just overlook Fox? Fox plays hard with some extremely tough players, but struggled to beat Northwest, barely beat a down Pattonville team and lost to Oakville. They even showed problems against Seckman. How does Lindbergh lose this game? Lots of credit goes to Fox for playing their game and giving Lindbergh everything they wanted and bringing home the victory.

I think more than anything it was just a good matchup. Lets face it, Lindbergh had a great team, they were 10- regular season, yet they really didn't steamroll over anyone. Fox is now 9-2, and yes barely beating NW was a fluke, however they did lose to a very good Oakville team in a good game. The match up between Fox and Oakville is going to be a good one w/ a packed house.

I'm not saying Lindbergh was overrated because they aren't at all, they were just the type of team that needed to execute to win, and they did all year. It was bound to happen that another team, Fox in this case, would come along and play right with them to the very end....hats off to both teams, I really would have like to see a Lindbergh/Oakville rematch however.

Fox definitely came out and gave it all they had to win. Lindbergh had a great season, but their turnovers in this game (4 or 5) and the multiple penalties were exactly what cost them the game. I applaud the Gianino brothers for turning this team into quality contenders. Lindbergh has a lot of young talent and a great coaching staff too, so I see a lot of great football ahead.

I was there and it seemed to me that Lindbergh may have been looking ahead on the schedule. Portell had an absolutely horrible game by most standards. fox came to play and Lindbergh just showed up and didn't realize they needed to play until it was too late.

As I was entering the game Fox was entering the stadium as well and I overheard Lindbergh parents and student laughing and making comments about Fox holding hands. I applaud this concept, it shows they are a team.

The thing about Fox is in my opinion, they don't have any Big time Division 1 players but they do play as a team. (One unit) They play three facets of the game being Offense, Defense, AND special teams. (which is all too often a forgotten part of the game.) When Fox went up 21-14 and LHS came back and scored with around 3 minutes left, fox blocked the PAT. The Giannino brothers and their staff have a method of getting the absolute most out of their players.

What I don't get is there was a physical scuffle that was initiated by some coaches on the LHS side. I know emotions were high and the result devastating but how can you justify being unsportsmanlike and teaching the players sportsmanship. By the way, I have video to prove who initiated the pushing and shoving!
