why would he move?

LA's VIP already said the Rams are not on their radar

If this guy buys the Rams its not LA I'd be concerned with them moving to. I thought I read San Antonio was wanting an NFL franchise. Take it for what its worth, I have no sources to cite, but I'm pretty sure I read SA wants/ed a team.

i'm not worried about it.

He's still gotta buy out Kroenke's share if he wants to move and then on top of that, pay rough estimate $1 billion it would take to move the team.

As a business man, it would not be a wise move with the support this team has had in STL.

Are you sure about that or are you referring to the excerpt on the radio where he says the Rams aren't an ideal candidate due to their lease obligation?

I'm serious.

Someone posted an article a month or so back about it. The guy said "we aren't going to wait for the Rams lease to be up in 2014, we want a team in LA by 2012. No, The Rams are not on our radar"

Gotcha. I just heard the clip on the radio last week and thought that's what you were referring to.

I think Jerry Jones would have a little something to say if his BFF wanted to move a team into HIS state.

Please fill me in if I am missing something. I know Kroenke has right of first refusal on any Rams purchase and owns 40%. What are you saying in regards to having to buy Kroenke's share to move the team? I'm not sure that is necessarily true although I hope you're right.

Per Rules of the NFL, Kroenke would not be allowed to own the team outside of STL (because of other teams he owns).

therefore, they would have to buy his share.

atleast, this is how i understood it. Plus I can't imagine Kroenke wanting to spend his money as well moving the team.

He just cant own the majority of an NFL team outside of Denver because of cross ownership rules.. Pretty sure he can own 40% of a team anywhere.

If he doesn't like someone buying 60% of the team he can force them to also buy his 40% share.

Huh? Where do you get your info? Per current NFL rules, Kroenke cannot be majority owner outside of Denver, where he owns other major league franchises. That is why he cannot be majority owner of the Rams in StL. He can own part of a team anywhere, which is what he is doing with the Rams in St. Louis. If the team were to move, he could still retain his current partial ownership.

As a banker, perhaps Mr Ford could get the government to buy up the Rams "toxic assets".
Anything to get the dead money off of their cap figure.

Stan Kroenke can only be a MINORITY owner of an NFL franchise outside of Denver. He can never be a majority owner of the Rams unless he sells all interest in the Nuggets and the Denver Avalanche. Kroenke himself cannot prevent the MAJORITY owner/owners of the Rams to move anyplace they wish.

Kroenke is a good businessman and if he saw his profits on the 40 % he owns would be more lucrative in another market outside of St. Louis I see no reason he would gripe about it.
