Yeah, its where the old Famous was. But I think that whole shopping area is actually where the store was, not the parking lot.

I always remember as a kid that we parked across the street where the Shop n Save/Applebee's lot is today and we would take the escalator/tunnel under Chippewa to get into the basement of the store (where the thrift store part of it was)...

Actually there was an L-shaped parking lot at the old site. Walgreens and Verizon were built where Famous stood.

I'm not trying to start any city/county thing. I would rather give my money to my hometown 99 times out of a 100, and I drive out to the counties to see sporting events too...so we'll call that even. Wink

Yup. There are about...hmmm....7 or 8 TVs there I think...It's not a big place either.

I wasn't overly impressed by this place. It was good, but nothing special.

Do us all a favor and never use JJ Twig's in the same sentence with this joint that went under ever again! Our family has patronized both places, and we never went back to Joe Bush's. More bar than good food. Wasn't really for children. and definitely no comparison to the pizza that JJ Twigs is serving up.
Make the trip to Des Peres for some great pizza! It is worth it.

100% agreed.
I went there with a friend for lunch. She knows the owners and I think it was the wife [maybe another female relative?] that waited on us.
Very un-impressive. We went a month or two after they opened for lunch on a weekday and they had a decent sized crowd.
The wife/relative was saying it was slow going when we were there.
The food was Ok, but it was typical bar-food like a million other places. The pizza was Ok.
I hate to see any family run place go under but nothing there made me want to go back anytime soon.

The best thing about that mall is now you never have to travel more than 300 feet without running into a
Walgreens!!!
