Oh please. He was a rookie and pretty much did what rookies -- even those with an abundance of talent -- do their first year. He discovered there is a big difference between major league and minor league pitching.
Can you (oh please) show me one other rookie in the majors in 2009 that went that long without taking a walk? (I do not think you can, by the way-the next highest I found was 23 AB's). It is a weak point in a promising young player.
That aside, I expect to see great improvement in his '10 numbers. The similarity to Lankford is interesting.
Tell me why I should fixate on the how long he went without a walk in 2009 and what exactly that portends to.
